No self respecting man would wear a pair of shorts or trousers without pockets. I can’t say I’ve honestly ever even seen a pair of men’s shorts or trousers without pockets save for a pair of gym shorts or skivvies.
Why then must women be burdened, and the men that walk along with them, with shorts without pockets?
Few things are as frustrating in a relationship as a woman asking a man to hold her cell phone because she has no pockets. It is quite difficult to seem genuine when responding with, “What good will the cell phone do you if I’m the one carrying it, deary?”
Having to transfer a cell phone to a companion is one thing, but not being able to carry your own identification, credit cards and money is another thing entirely. It’s down right sexist if you’re asking me.
Sexist to men or women? That I couldn’t tell you.
Who doesn’t want pockets in women’s shorts or pants? Do women not want pockets because pockets look silly or do women think pockets will force them to carry something that they could probably get a man to carry? Or is it men that demand a sleek pair of women’s shorts without pockets to avoid bulges that may detract from the sexy illusion?
I don’t rightly know, mate. But to be honest, I’ve had enough of being asked or forced to carry items because some lass doesn’t have any bloody pockets in her shorts.
