I’ve noticed women’s clothing being labeled sizes XS, S, M, L, XL lately. This creates a no win situation for any man stupid enough to be lured into this simple tagging system.
Women’s clothing is supposed to be numerical. Men can never remember what size their wife is, so it would seem clothing manufacturers have switched to a system men are more comfortable with. Switching women’s clothing sizes to the men’s equivalent XS, S, M, L and XL is for men only, pure and simple.
Let me ask you this: What is a man supposed to do when his wife is legitimately on the line between a M and L size? Pick the large? He’d be insane. “You got me a large? What’s wrong with you, do I look like a large?”
God forbid his wife should truly be on the line between L and XL. If the man is stupid and errs on the side of caution, which most men would do, and he chooses XL, he might be inciting a domestic assault.
Men should never buy into the trap of the new fad in women’s clothing sizes. Always go low.

My wife is a size 5, but she’s a 3 in some companies’ clothing, which make the clothing apparently a bit larger for the sizes.
I never forgot this once in the past 7 1/2 years.
I’m not arguing with you… simply asking that you don’t generalize all men into the pool of “mindless, numb-headed idiots.”
