Many web pages I browse are multi-paged articles or photo galleries that contain a “Next” link. Click the “Next” link to get to the next article page or picture in sequence.
My biggest complaint about the “Next” link in these pages is that there is no “Next” button associated with the page forwarding functionality on my keyboard. If I want to browse to a previously viewed page in the sequence, that’s not a problem. Hit “Delete” or backspace or whatever, all browsers have a way of going back using keys on the keyboard and your browser’s history.
To my knowledge, no browser has any way of detecting the next page or picture in a sequence in order to associate it with a key on the keyboard thus speeding up your browsing considerably. If I could scroll forward through pages or pictures in a sequence while browsing by hitting a key on my keyboard, I could read and browse much faster because I wouldn’t have to move my mouse to the “Next” link.
Sure there are lots of links on a page but there should be a thousand ways to determine the next intended sequential link.

How about not even having multi-page articles? It’s html, it’ll render however long you need! It’s just an attempt to shoehorn more ads into our brains.
