• Ebay and PayPal Charges

I’ve been buying and selling stuff on ebay since before most people even knew what ebay was. Maybe it is just me, but it seems like eBay has become a money gouging operation. I just sold something that cost $299 and the eBay and PayPal charges came to $25.00. Twenty five dollars! […]

  • Zecco.com Website Broken In Safari And iPhone

I spent the last week researching various low-commission online brokers. I knew the pros and cons and had a good idea what I was getting into. I had pretty much decided to sign up for a Zecco.com account this morning. Ten free online stock trades each month is pretty enticing.
    Then I […]

  • Brett Favre and His Retirement

It is a shame that Brett Favre is ruining his name and dragging the Green Bay Packers organization down. Brett had his moment. Actually he had three or four (or dozens) of moments. How many times can you retire, fake retire, return, insinuate that you’re going to retire/return? How many teary-eyed […]

  • Celebrity Foreclosures

Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, Evander Holyfield and a host of other celebrities are just like the rest of America. They are losing their homes because they can’t afford to pay for them. Foreclosures for the rich. Whoopie.

  • U.S. Stores Rationing Rice Purchases

For the handful of people out there that still think the Bush Administration hasn’t run this country into the ground, I offer this.

  • Annual Predictions About Linux Taking Over Windows

It is that time of the year again. Somebody in the technology press needed something to write about. So what do they do? They recycle the old predictions about how Linux will finally make inroads into the PC market this year. They find some IT guy in an obscure distant country, […]

  • Politicians And Preachers Who Treat Their Wives Like Prostitutes

Yet another politician has been caught with his pants down. Apparently, New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has been part of a prostitution ring. Nothing new there. We can add that to a long list of politicians and preachers who commit adultrey, visit prostitutes, use crystal meth and pay men to have sex […]

  • Hugo “Hurley” Reyes of The Lost Documentary

I have watched so much Lost that I will believe virtually anything. My suspension of disbelief has gotten so bad that it has bled over into my real life. Sometimes I don’t even go to work anymore because I have to stay home and push the button in the hatch I built in […]

  • Juno Movie Trailers Before No Country for Old Men

I saw the movie, “No Country for Old Men,” last night. Before the movie there were two trailers. The first trailer was for an upcoming movie at that theater, “Juno.”
My biggest complaint about movie trailers is that they spoil that entire movie. Honestly, I was excited about seeing the Juno Movie, […]

  • 100,000 Chinese People Dying in Workplace Accidents in China

Reuters reported that 100,000 people DIED in workplace accidents in China IN ONE YEAR (2007), which was confirmed by some branch of the government in China.
My biggest complaint is that the Chinese have such shoddy, non-existent, safety practices for so many workers. This is simply unacceptable. My next biggest complaint it that the […]

  • Maintenance Men And Walkie-Talkies

I don’t know about where you work, but where I work we have hundreds of buildings and a large force of maintenance men (maintenance people, staff, technicians whatever you want to call them). They give these maintenance workers walkie-talkies so they can all communicate with each other.
My biggest complaint about maintenance men is that […]

How does a person even begin to have a my BIGGEST complaint about the Bush administration? Where do you start?

  • John McCain POW That Doesn’t Read Intelligence Reports

John McCain was cool when he was a POW. Remember that grainy black and white film footage of him in the prison camp.

  • Cell Phone Users: You Don’t HAVE TO Answer It

Alright, so here we are in a meeting with 20 people in a big circle. We’re talking about important stuff. Somebody’s cell phone rings. Yes, there are people who didn’t turn it off, or turn it to vibrate, for this important meeting. The person fumbles to find the device that is […]

  • Democrats and Liberals Who Alienated Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan threw in the towel this Memorial Day weekend and I blame the Democrats. Cindy was by far the foremost outspoken critic of the Bush Cheney War Cartel. And Cindy was a real mother of a dead soldier, not one of the many overpaid news personalities that consider themselves journalists, who rant […]

  • The Previous Owner Who Should Have Never Set Foot in Lowes or Home Depot

I am one of those people who could probably fix or build just about anything. I bought a new house 18 months ago and have been busily redoing “repairs” that the previous owner made. Some of the things I have found just make me want to shake my head. Sometimes they even […]

  • Jimmy Carter: He’s A Pussy

I thought Jimmy Carter, who hasn’t exactly been a George Bush supporter but hasn’t been a very vocal critic either, had finally had enough of the raping of the environment and the people of this planet; the war mongering, the corruption, the shame of the whole Bush administration. Apparently, he had enough to finally […]

My biggest complaint about Amazon.com is that their toy service is unreliable. Last month I ordered two toys for my nephew’s birthday. They were listed as in stock and “will ship within 24 hours.” Later that week I checked the Amazon “where’s my stuff” page and it listed a ship date in […]

Almost as annoying as the “Answering Machine / Voicemail DJ’s,” is the newest cell phone gimmick, “please enjoy the music while your party is reached.” Inevitably the music is some crappy hip-hop song played from a cheap recording, through my cell phone speaker which sounds like an old 9-volt hand held AM radio I […]

    • JGilly has you pegged.

    • I don't know. I would let it run, though. My guess is that if the wireless network crashes or you decide to pull the plug, you will be able to start over with migration assistant. 20 hours might be an underestimate.

    • Marilyn, His face is a side-effect of the embalming process. They must just stretch it out each year like recovering a drum. Clearly the man has psychological issues. He's like 80 and he wants to look like he did when he was 75, or was that 65, come to think of it.... 40.

    • Fast forward to 12/31/2009.... Dick Clark is back. I'm horrified. He sounds like he's gurgling on the devil that is stuck in this throat. This isn't fun. This isn't the Special Olympics. Dick should be watching this from his LazyBoy at the retirement home. Time to switch the channel.

    • Easy on the caps black woman. You speak of dreads like football players have them. I can't even recall one that has dreads, so how can this be a "symbolization" issue.

    • I'm not sure I would mess with a wireless transfer either. Besides the speed issue, it could get messy if the wireless connection drops.

    • I was charging my MacBook Pro on my bed and had slightly lowered the screen. I left and returned several hours later to find a large crack across the screen, originating from the lower left hand clutch. I felt the computer and it was incredibly hot! I called Apple Care and they told me I shouldn't charge the computer on a soft surface because it could overheat and crack the screen. Apple Care told me they would fix the computer, however, when I took it to the Apple Store they told me they identified an "impact point" and that it was caused by accidental damage. They told me I had either dropped it or something was in the hinge and broke the glass. To replace the glass it would cost $1,200 dollars, almost the price of a new computer...what good is that (not to mention how terrible to toss away good LCDs into landfills)!?! I was insulted that the "genius" practically accused me of lying to him, as the laptop was not dropped and there was no foriegn object in the hinge that would have caused this "hairline" crack across the screen. Apple needs to take responsibility for manufacturing defective screens!!!! This is insane! The customer service at Apple is VERY subpar and I will not be buying another MacBook Pro ever again. Apple produces some other good products, but the fact that they do not acknowledge their own manufacturing errors is absurd!!! Apple was manufacturing good products a few years ago, but now they have sacrificed quality for design. We need to get the word out that Apple is on a slippery slope to poor quality!!

    • Recently I had to cancel a booking with Expedia and realized that the advertising was a mere eyewash. The reason that I had to cancel was because my itinerary was changed 4 times by the airline and found myself on a route that had 3 stops instead of the one stop promised. Based on this I decided to cancel my bookings. The trouble that I am having to go through to get some changes made on Expedia has been a truly harassing and bad experience. On one day itself I had to call Expedia around 8 times: The first time the agent lied to me saying that the airline office was closed, I made him give me the number he was dialing and spoke to the airline agents who told me they were open and available. The second time, the line was disconnected after I waited online for 15 minutes. All the other times agents just hung up or never came back online. I have been on hold for nearly 3 hrs in totality with no resolution.

    • Amen Brother.

    • You sound like you know about as much about this as every other anti-vaccine, conspiracy theory, zealot out there. To say that you children don't EVER get sick, vaccinated or not, simply flies in the face of everything we know about infectious diseases, genetics, and immunology. Your children don't deserve your ignorance. I feel sorry for them.

    • It sure seems like SVW fears death to me!

    • Apparently Brett is playing for the Packers arch rival, the Vikings, this season. Seriously, you're washed up Brett. Why don't you give somebody else, like Michael Vick, a chance to be the starter somewhere.

    • I am disgusted that Michael Vick is being allowed to play football again. Shame on the Eagles!!! He is a major criminal being allowed to make millions-some role model!! I put him in the same category as rapists, murderers, and child molesters. I am a native Pennsylvanian who will no longer be an Eagles supporter!!!

    • Here we go again. It's a year later and Brett has put in a lack-luster post-retirement season with the New York Jets. So what does Brett do. He retires from the Jets. Fast forward a couple of months and what is Brett doing now with his retirement? Trying to play for the Minnesota Vikings, the team that used to be his arch rival. Get some integrity Brett. You're destroying your legacy, credibility, and name.

    • opusbar1, So you are saying that a bicep band (as pictured above), which is a glorified version of a sweatband that Billy Jean King used to wear in the 70's, would have prevented your major bicep tendon tear and is what the doctor told you to wear post surgery?? Seriously, if that's what you doctor(S) told you, you need some new doctors.

    • "In this economic down turn, self expression will be the last criteria that any employer will appreciate. They will optimize their work force to try and survive." Yep. That pretty much sums it up. Enjoy your piercings, because with all other things being equal, you'll get to enjoy them at home on unemployment. For the majority of jobs, the person with facial piercings won't be offered the job.

    • I'm suspicious of this too. Maybe the person was actually watching some free porn.

    • Eric, Andrew, and others. If you are correct, this would mean that the devices in question, bicep bands, are medical devices, which are, oddly, sold by Nike and Rebok. And, that there must be an epidemic of tendinitis in football players that is occurring in both arms simultaneously; to men playing positions that are not associated with repetitive motion; have increased dramatically in the past 2 years; and are not reported on NFL injury reports. Your explanation simply doesn't support your arguments about bicep bands having medical purposes. Andrew... your trainers don't know what they are talking about.

    • Does anybody know if Dick made an appearance on the Dec 31, 2008, event? If so, did he still look like he was embalmed?

    • TC3, College football is all about money. Money, money, money. I'm sure the PR people in South Bend are already coming up with some spin about how playing on X-mas Eve is actually the will of the trinity. Enjoy the game.

    • Gues, Huh? For a second there I thought your comment was that spam garble that's generated by robots that spam sites like this. Great contribution.

    • Whew, thanks for clearing up the facts for us. Well said. I can't wait for Sarah to run in 2012. She represents the new face of the republican party and she deserves to be their nominee.

    • What is interesting about it? Can't wait to hear what type of conspiracy are you going to propose now. Entertain us, mark. We're ready.

    • yale, I'd be interested in how you have determined that large SUVs are far more efficient than those small vehicles.

    • Has everybody noticed how much mark wants to sing kumbya? I think he brings it up every time he posts. He must be a closet kumbya singer. The rest of us aren't singing kumbya mark. You can paint everything with your Republican brushes, but it doesn't change reality. You continually blame everybody else, blame shift, reblame other's when it doesn't work. You lost mark. Go away.

    • Actually mark, Watch the news (any news) right now. The Republicans and the McCain campaign are the ones that are generating all the garbage about Palin. You are quite the blame shifter. Now you are using the term leftist with McCain. Palin is and was an idoit. Sorry mark. I appreciate you chiming in, but stop blaming the media for reporting what the Republicans are doing to eachother. The dems have moved on.

    • What do you expect they are going to do. Palin's own party and the campaign are blaming her, holding her accountable, whatever you want to call it, for her part in the failed campaign. Don't blame the news media for reporting the news (heck even Fox news is reporting it). Instead blame those who are actually generating the news items (the Republican party and McCain campaign staff). Better yet, maybe we all should consider that Sarah Palin was actually a poor choice for McCain. She was unqualified, embarrassing, and committed numerous gaffs. This is the news and we should expect it to be reported by the media. The democrats have moved on to the issues you put forth. The Republicans are infighting. Don't blame the news media for talking about it.

    • At least scarycat is aptly named. I think scarycat needs to take a deep breath and have a cold one.

    • sarge, Thank you for serving in the military during a war. I'm sort of wondering. You believe that you should NOT be eligible to run for president if you haven't been in combat. So I guess you only vote for candidates who have been in combat. Which begs the question, who did you vote for last time around, Kerry, the decorated war veteran, or Bush, the draft dodger?

    • rouschkateer, Did you actually read that whole post? Whew.. You gotta give the original poster an A for effort if nothing else.

    • rouschkateer, Your probably right. You gotta love it when they are reading their email instead of paying attention to what is going on during the broadcast.

    • The first major international crisis that whomever is elected will have to face will come on day one. It is the leftovers from Bush's war in Iraq. Plain and simple, mark. Get it straight. You think if McCain and Palin are elected that terrorists will back down because they are scared of a McCain administration, you are crazy. That is not what happened during the Bush administration, as you recall. mark, you have been spouting racist rhetoric all over this board about how you should watch out for Obama because he is a muslim. Now you are bringing up the fact that he has been a member of a Christian church for 20 years. I can't wait to hear you resolve this one. Go for it mark, bring me some of that mark logic that we've grown so fond of here. Tell us how he can be a muslim yet has practiced christianity for 20 years.

    • Thanks for clearing things up for us, mark.

    • I remember when the right wingers were slamming Obama for being a celebrity? And their charges were simply fabricated. This lady is a disgrace. Honestly if I were a republican I would be embarrassed by McCain choosing her. The funny thing is not Sarah Palin going on SNL, it's watching McCain defend her on a daily basis. How does he keep a straight face when he talks about her "credentials."

    • mark, You really need to go back and re-read the things you and others write before posting. You make no sense. Maybe it is the sloppy writing, or the poor argumentation, or just your rambling. I don't know. Your claims about people who fail while trying to change a behavior having issues of trust, reliability, etc are just wrong. It sure sounds like you are saying that anybody that has ever tried to do anything - like quit smoking, lose weight, gain weight, not speed, or floss their teeth - even once and failed, has issues of trust and reliability. Or in your mind, is it just not quitting tobacco that creates this lack of trust and reliability?

    • Smoking doesn't show a "profound lack of character, nor does it show that a person cannot follow through with what he starts and should not be trusted to live up to his promises." Smoking and continued smoking probably indicates the person is hooked. Most smokers have tried to quit. Many fail. I have no idea what Obama's quitting history is like. Regardless, we don't have to look far to find smokers who are trustable, reliable, intelligent, contributing members of society. In my experience, most are. They just smoke (and should quit). Mark's argument has again misattributed everything to everything; he sees causation where there is none; and he makes generalizations that don't follow from his smaller factoids. I posted the original complaint. While it has no bearing on Obama's ability to run the country, I do wonder if there are any verifiable reports of him quitting smoking.

    • Gary, And excellent example of the enigma of Linux. It should by all accounts, be powerful and easy to use (and free), but then you try to customize it and, in my opinion, too often becomes a fight. Again, I do find Ubuntu to be well supported and I believe it has momentum going forward. All OSes have their negatives, but that version of Linux seems to be getting close to user friendliness.

    • Yawn.....

    • mark, I'll give it to you. Nobody can cut and paste garbage from right wing blogs like you.

    • I couldn't agree more. The undecided voter is either an attention whore or has been asleep for the past 8 years. In all honesty, I have more respect for people that are going to vote the exact opposite of me than I do undecided voters.

    • Mark, I'm not even going to address your response again other than to point this out. You continue to confirm and reaffirm what I say with respect to the questionable arguments you put forth. Do you even read what I, or anybody else, on this forum writes? Although I enjoy the end result of it, I'm completely embarrassed for you.

    • mark, Really? This is all you have. Blaming powerful Obama and his years of influence for the economic crisis. And hello, we've talked about this before Mark. Just because you say things in a certain order doesn't mean one caused the other; it doesn't even make them related.

    • Mark, Yet another thread that you have ruined with insane arguments that have no basis in reality. Spout off a fact here and there, blame the Democrats for the bible-sized failures of the Bush administration, pretend that the things you connect together in your mind are actually connected by causation, and most importantly pretend like you actually know what you are talking about. It really is pathetic. I'm ready for you to start calling me names. That's usually how these things go with you.

    • "Ok peopel finally new your journal of medicine, published an article on the research about diets and what is most healthful. Guess what it turns out that the all famous low fat diet is not the heart healthy way to go. The most healthful diet is the low carb style diet with a specific example of full fat peanut butter being better for your heart health then the low fat version." Mark, You are the one that chose to present yourself as a knowledgeable authority on this. 1. You chose to support your point by quoting a scientific reference that doesn't exist: new your journal of medicine. 2. You presented a "specific example" that was not in the study (and is inaccurate) 3. You then try to explain it by claiming that you heard it on a TV broadcast. Not exactly what you had said originally (and pretty weak scientific support). When people do things like this, it raises a red flag and it should. I don't think asking for a reference when you evoke a scientific study is inappropriate.

    • Mark, I don't think it is asking much to ask for a reference. People might actually be interested in where you got your facts, not because they don't believe you, but because they want to read the whole article. Anyway..... Much of what you said (as best I can tell as I understand what you wrote) seems fine. My major problem was with you stating, "The most healthful diet is the low carb style diet with a specific example of full fat peanut butter being better for your heart health then the low fat version." I found it odd because I follow nutrition research and I had never heard this claim. I read the entire full text of the reference you gave and nowhere does it discuss peanut butter. Likewise the article was not measuring heart health directly, it was measuring weight and some lipid/cholesterol blood levels. Of course the two are often related, but it is not accurate to infer that from this study. Nevertheless, like I said much of what you say on general terms was fine with me.

    • I didn't mean to say/imply that "being a POW was cool" in the literal sense. I was saying/implying that the image that John McCain had (and in fact is still touting himself) at that time in my mind was that he was a surviving POW and this gave him some John Wayne like coolness. This was a long time ago. Sadly, as was the point of the post, after years of being run over by the Bush administration, I no longer feel that way about McCain. I will reiterate, somebody who has been a POW should never vote to send our country to war without reading all the intelligence reports. Of all people who should know better, he should have. Is this the type of leadership we are to expect if he is elected?

    • Yes Mark, Yes Elmer. It's all Jimmy Carters fault. Three decades later and he is still wielding his power over the Bush administration. Jimmy, the most powerful president in "modern history" is still ruining everything. Got damn that power hungry peace monger. Seriously, where do you guys get your facts? How do you connect things and events in your minds? These things you quote usually aren't even related in any logical or historical manner. I have asked Mark about this before. Do you really believe the garbage you post here or do you just spurt it out without processing it? Please post something that actually makes sense. Occasionally addressing the issue presented in the main complaint would be nice.

    • Not the most elaborate complaint, but I assume you are talking about CHENG Fei and her questionable vault. We were sitting here dumbfounded by the favorable judging that some of the Chinese gymnasts are getting. Cheng Fei landed, for all practical purposes, on her knees on her second vault and the judges reward her with scores that give her a medal. I can't say I've ever seen that in an Olympics. Not sure how you want to organize the protest. Perhaps we should all stop buying Chinese made goods :)

    • "Different sports have different age requirements. It is not 16 across the board. There are younger members from other countries in different sports." Not sure what your point is. Yes age requirements are different in different sports. We are talking about women's gymnastics here (at least I am).

    • "Just called it a rant based on unsubstatiated accusations and leave it at that." For the record, I didn't say that the Chinese people were all liers and cheaters; I asked if they were. Thanks for telling us they aren't. As for unsubstantiated accusations, you are walking on thin ground. It was widely reported yesterday that several Chinese newspapers reported the age of at least one Gymnast ("He" i think was the name) as 13ish, just last November 07. As for the absolutely absurd claim that a child comes out of the womb being one years old in China and one day old every where else in the world. It just doesn't work like that. Cultural relativity and custom doesn't usurp reality. The earth spins once in 24 hours. The Chinese don't alter physics or astronomy so that they can cheat in gymnastics. Regardless, were not talking a couple of months here, some of the Chinese gymnasts still would be ineligible if the Olympic Committee allowed your "one year at day one rule for Chinese women's gymnasts."

    • Gatty, You might want to ask your question in one of the Apple forums. Good Luck.

    • "OK i have a Question when you use the program does it leave all of your info on the old computer?" If you are asking, does the migration assistant leave all the info on your old computer, then yes. At least it is supposed to and that's how it worked for me.

    • Mark, Could you please provide the name and issue of the "new your journal of medicine" to support your claims? Thanks.

    • What is Sheryl "just use one square" Crow going to do. I mean if she's only using one square and it keeps getting smaller she's gonna get funk on her fingers. Of course on those "pesky occasions," Crow claims 2 or 3 are necessary and acceptable.

    • I agree. A close second could be a complaint about "Smoking Into The Phone." Do you think we want to listen to you take a long draw on a cancer stick every 15 seconds? We CAN hear you smoking, if you're wondering.

    • Fred, I'd also like to see some proof (legitimate sources only, blogs don't count) that 100k Americans are dying every year from doctor's errors. Until then, I am going to put forth that your comment above is bunk.

    • Sorry Winnie, Spammers are making way too much money spamming to waste their time posting on a website like this.

    • Inmaculada, Sorry you had a bad experience with your mac. There seems to be a significant number of people in your situation. If you get something going as far as compensation goes, please let us know.

    • Louis, Did you just get fired as a dove chocolate wrapper writer? If so, it's really cool to know that mybiggestcomplaint has that kind of power. Best, Squeaky

    • Chewie, Couldn't have said it better myself. Actually, I was watching a documentary on Strong City Cult on National Geographic Chanel just last night, and I was screaming the same things at the TV. I would like to add that I don't think it is fair to call Michael Trasvesser, aka Wayne Bent, a "nymphomaniac leader." I think it would more accurate to call him a pedophile rapist because that's what he is.

    • Ray, Thanks for the laugh. Nothing like a bit of insanity to clear things up. I was totally asleep on this one until you woke me up. I believe even the Bible would be embarrassed by you evoking it here. Thanks, Squeaky

    • I posted this nearly a year ago and I don't think tobacco use has anything to do with running the country (for example, Bush doesn't smoke and he has ruined this country and the entire planet, so maybe it would be better to have a tobacco user in office). I am curious though, does anybody know if Obama is still smoking? I hate to ask if anybody has any current and accurate information, because I'm sure that the only responses will come from pundits and crackpots, who really have no knowledge of what they are talking about, but will pretend they do.

    • Hi Mark, I was wondering how long it would be before somebody chimed in about how the Liberals were really responsible for how the Bush administration acts. How is it that every stain on this president's record is blamed on the liberals. At some point, it would be nice if we started holding those with power accountable for their actions. Like I said, I'm not saying that the Bush admin directly caused this, as it is a global phenomenon. Nevertheless, it is yet another thing that has happened while this administration was in power. The great thing is that the rebate we are getting from the Feds can cover the spiraling cost of rice, milk, and gas.

    • Steph, Could you post a picture?

    • Mike, I'm with jimmysdad. I have no problem with Viagra being available, either. I think the recent ads are just completely inappropriate. I'm not ashamed of sexuality, but do we really need to be pumping all this crap about ED into our family rooms? I bet it won't be long until Pfizer starts showing ads of Viagra using men having sex. They have very few standards as far as advertising their product goes and it will only get worse.

    • It is too bad that JG Rollins, the (self-reported) CEO of CitizenTax did not post any of his person contact info: address, cell phone, phone number, or you might be able to contact him directly.

    • I have noticed that there are a number of threads here regarding broken and bent macbook screens. You may want to look at the "similar complaints" below or use the search tab above to locate them.

    • ".........“And it’s not just kids living in poverty. It’s college students, and single mothers, and socialist governments.” How do you figure Left Wing politicians favor Linux?" For the record, I didn't say that Left Wing politicians favor Linux. I threw in "and socialist governments" in reference to Hugo Chavez and his recent push towards using Linux on all government computers and shipping it on his new line of "Bolivarian Computers."

    • Good to see that somebody followed up with a different experience. Sometimes everybody has a bad experience with businesses that end up on this site. Other times it's not that way at all.

    • Heather, I guess getting two pairs of Shoes is better than none at all. Now you're gonna have a fun time trying to get that straight with them.

    • Holy Cow. That sure is one long complaint! Hope you feel better.

    • "It’s pretty obvious that there are many posts by the same person on this website using different names (check the spelling errors)." Sorry Shoesy. Not sure that an occasional similarity in misspelled words means that the same person is using different names and making all these posts. Glad you've had a good experience with shoepeddlers.com. It sounds like you may be the exception to the rule. If you think this is a problem, why don't you drop the editors a note. The most likely explanation for the excessive amounts of poor reviews of Shoe Peddlers is the company's business practices and not a vendetta by the "same person."

    • Not in my mind. Adultery is adultery. Cheating on your spouse is cheating on your spouse. You can pay for it or get it for free, but that doesn't make the act different. Either way, dragging your wife out there to participate in you apology is still sick.

    • Apparently the guy spent 80,000 dollars on hookers. When all is said and done, I bet it will be far more than that.

    • What we need is some contraception in the water. It would certainly go a long way to solving our population problem and just about every other problem it creates.

    • Allowing Florida and Michigan to have a mulligan (political sports analogy, see another complaint) would be equivalent to rewarding bad behavior yet again. The purpose of the original Democratic punishment was to remove the power that Florida and Michigan tried to usurp by moving their elections up (they wanted to have more influence). So now, if this attempt goes through, Florida and Michigan will have complete control of the election - total power. I believe this idea has been backed by Dean. In retrospect, it was probably good that he didn't get the nomination the last go around. It is ironic that idealist in the United States believe that we can export free and fair elections to fledgling countries like Iraq, when we have proven time and time again over of the past decade that we can't even do it correctly at home.

    • Somebody had a rough night out with the kids, huh tc3? You should have taped it and posted the video for us to watch. I bet it was a real treat.

    • I couldn't have said it better myself. I hope the networks keep him out of the debates. He has turned into a crackpot. Bring on a real third party candidate; I'm all for that. Nader has proven that he is not electable and the question then becomes, why does our political system tolerate him interjecting himself into our presidential elections every four years. For a guy that claims to want to be president, you would think he would have been doing something, anything, political over the past four years, wouldn't you? He doesn't even pretend to be committed to it until it's time for him to get some attention.

    • I was in Moe's today and the employee's were completely disheartened. I think screaming the "welcome to moe's" slogan sucked every bit of life out of them.

    • Thanks insolence, I didn't really pop-up. I'm a regular. Honestly, I just didn't want you to go out and hurt yourself or somebody around you. I don't recall seeing you post here before and wasn't sure what to make of your original post. Although we occasionally get some serious posts here, I rarely see one like that. My bad. I think I understand your intentions now. Regardless...... It sounds like you have a sense of humor, which another member (DBlock, I think?) once said was a prerequisite for lasting very long on mybiggestcomplaint! Anyway, glad you're feeling better :) Ain't complaining great.

    • insolence, You've expressed your thoughts quite clearly. I hope that you're just getting some of life's frustrations off your chest. This is a great place to do that. But, if it goes deeper than that, and complaining doesn't help, please consider talking to a counselor about it before it spirals out of control. I don't want you to become the person(s) you elude to in your complaint.

    • Actually, I have been watching the show quite carefully. I haven't seen one person with food in the last umpteen episodes. The Darma food drops happened in prior seasons. Perhaps we are to suppose that, just like to story of the "fishes and the loaves," that the food simply replaces itself. Granted, I don't want to see the mundane, day-to-day, experiences of Hurley. I do feel pretty sure though that if we did calculations on Hurley's caloric needs (considering expenditures & amount required for basic survival, etc) that number would not explain how a man that fat can gain weight while stranded on an island. There simply isn't enough surplus calories around that island (at least not as it is presented to us) to explain it. Anyway, fun link.

    • cubicle, You really need to stop being a slave to the networks and their desire to program your tv watching habits. Did you enjoy watching the excessive number of commercials last night? I bet not. Maybe you did though? Upgrade to this decade, dude, before this decade is over. Get yourself a DVR and you'll no longer to be a slave to the networks and their advertisers.

    • mark, Overall, sanitation and cleanliness has made us more healthy, not less healthy on the whole. Certainly there are diseases that are more infectious because of adaptations, but claiming that "In other words when you look at the charts (no not Al Gores charts) when we get into requiring more and more sanitizing the infiltration of disease increases on the large scale," is simply not accurate. Your claim that AIDS developed because of the germaphobic nature of society (and the implied sanitizing) is simply incorrect. Again, you can throw around the words of immunology and attempt to connect concepts together, but your response doesn't support your original claims and probably wouldn't pass muster on even the most basic college immunology quiz.

    • "Well actually the incidese of disease has a direct corrolation to the propensity to sanitize." Sorry but there is little or no body of scientific evidence that supports this or anything that you wrote after it. I believe you have attributed causation to factors that are not causative.

    • Casandra, I'm confident that you're familiar with it. But if not....... A F-Bomb is a widely accepted part of our vernacular. I chose it as a substitute for the explicative because the explicative is generally not in favor on this website and would have been filtered by the site. I would not have used it, except for the fact that had to make a point. BTW, Dan Grrrl took note and used grammar that everybody can understand. Thanks. It makes it much easier to have an intelligent conversation about things.

    • You say you are constantly having problems with all the Apple computers at your school. What type of problems? Hardware breaking, software won't work, school doesn't have them upgraded or set up correctly? Your comment isn't very helpful and really runs against 20 years of experience with Apple in K-12 and Higher Education. If every machine is haveing problems every two minutes, it is probably the schools fault not Apples, If every machine is having problems every two minutes, you have plenty of specific examples that you could post here. Sounds like this really isn't an accurate or serious complaint about Apple products.

    • Casandra Lee wrote: "N wat dos typn lyk dis hav 2 do wit nethin’? who cares how ppl type, if u cant understand it tell them!!! dont bag it out over the internet!" Do all emos type and speak this way? If so, I am really impressed. How do they understand each other? The repetitive use of the f-bomb as a modifier is equally impressive.

    • sportsdork, It looks like your waist is more than a "game of inches." Or is it a "game of more inches?" squeaky.

    • I honestly don't understand how the facebook founders ever got facebook to fly. My assessment of facebook is that it is a place for college students to post pictures of them and their friends doing stupid, inappropriate, and often illegal things for future employers, parents, and judges to see. And, a place that legitimizes stalking. I wish I would have thought of facebook, because I would be rich right now. Still, in the annals of the internet, facebook will be nothing more than a VH1 Special 15 years from now. People who were into facebook will be embarrassed.

    • Ian said, "......IN SUMMARY: APPLE = THE MOST OVERPRICED UNRELIABLE CRxP YOU COULD EVER HAVE THE MISFORTUNE OF BUYING." I'm not sure why this happens to some people and not others, but from my experience you are the exception. I've owned macs for nearly 15 years, and I have found them to be the most reliable, longest lasting computers out there. I've also purchased numerous macs for work and turned dozen of people on to them, with similar results. When I've had a problem apple fixed them promptly (they seem to break early in their life, if at all) and correctly. Sounds like you were one of the few who got a bad Apple.

    • The first two posts were nothing but single sentences of name calling. The posters provided no argument, no examples, no support for their position. They are basically bumper stickers and sound trite. At least Chewie took the time to provide some background so other people can understand why he thinks what he does. At least he thought about his post, gave us some insight to it, and did it in a way that was interesting to read (whether you agree with it or not). Chewie's post was then followed by somebody impersonating DBlock and doing the exact same thing the first two posters did. Not only did he he impersonate another member here, but he felt that it was necessary to use an explicative to do it. Again, adding nothing to the discussion. I don't think the fact that Chewie took time to write a longer comment makes Chewie a "borderline socialist liberal." If his words do, that's another matter. I have to say that it would be nice if people would actually take the time to share with us why they believe the things they do. At least it would it help everybody understand different perspectives. If nothing else it makes reading peoples posts more entertaining that just having to scroll through a bunch of name calling.

    • "looks&apperiance dont make a person." Regardless, it would be nice if the emo crowd would practice spelling and grammar. Maybe a complete sentence here and there. Sentences typically begin with capital letters. U is a letter, it's not a word. I could keep going. One day, you will grow up and you'll need to be able to read and write in real English. Although it may seem like it to you, the whole world isn't a text message. If you start practicing now, you might be ready for college in a few years. This is your big chance. The comment blank is waiting.

    • I think they wear them because they don't want the other team to mistake them for real football players. That way the other team won't hit them. It's like wearing glasses when playing football.

    • I think some commenters have mistaken bicep bands for orthopedic devices (which sometimes are wrapped around the arms). Please post some evidence that bicep bands actually apply force to ligaments or muscles and change the mechanics of the muscular system enough to "prevent tearing" of anything...

    • Go get em DBlock.... People should just relax. This website really allows people to get things off their chests (men and women). Complain away.

    • Thanks to Dennis for reporting this on mybiggestcomplaint.com. The Providence Journal has finally covered this accident and I would bet it was entirely (or mostly) because he was willing to say something here. Despite what we all think about the illegal immigration issue, this is a tragedy for everyone. Perhaps, we should close this thread. http://www.projo.com/news/content/IMMIGRANT_INJURED_12-22-07_A18BS4V_v36.27039d1.html Worker trapped by machine, severely injured Saturday, December 22, 2007 Providence Journal

    • Dennis, Just out of curiosity, is there a newspaper report or anything on this accident? It seems like something that would have been reported. It would be interesting to see what they are saying about it.

    • JuddyB claimed "Dog fighting is a black thang…" I have known a lot of black people, and while they often will say, "such and such is a black thing," I have never heard them said dog fighting was. In fact I've never heard anybody say it until you just did JuddyB. I think most black Americans are disgusted by Vick's behavior, even though many americans - of all races - enjoyed watching him play football and thought, before his fall from grace, he was a fairly upstanding man.

    • I spotted DeAngelo Hall on monday night football wearing a decorated eye black strip with "mv 7" decoration on it. Come on DeAngelo, as if wearing eye black strips wasn't bad enough, you have to wear them in support of Michael Vick. I realize you guys are old buds, but the dude was sentenced to two years in prison today for being a criminal.

    • I wanted to see if I could help other people by trying to fix this disk. Here's what I did. 1) I had a second hard drive in that machine, that I was using as a swap disk, so I put Leopard on it. It installed fine. The good thing was that I could see my old disk, and although it was clearly broken by the Leopard installer, I was able to get data off the disk. If you are having this problem, you may be able to load Leopard on to another disk (be it an external firewire or internal disk) and you may be able to salvage you data. 2) I then tried to see if I could repair the disk using Disk Utility. Neither the Tiger or Leopard Disk Utility (from the cd or from the hard drives) would fix the drive in question. I got a yellow or red exclamation point with a message to the effect that the 'keys were out of order' when I tried to verify the disk. 3) I downloaded a copy of Gentoo Linux for ppc, burned it to CD using the mac burning program, and booted my mac with that linux disk. I could again see and navigate the disks using the command line. If you are comfortable using the command line, you may be able to get your data off your hard drive that the Leopard installer broke this way. 4) I tried all the tricks I know for repairing the disk while I had it booted up with Gentoo Linux for ppc - like fsck and partitioning tools - but I could never repair the broken disk disk. 5) If you are trying to copy the USERS directory (which is probably what most people want to get off their mac when moving or upgrading a system), you may have to set up a root account if you are booted into OSX. If you try to copy the files and you are logged in with your normal account, you may run into permissions errors when you want to copy other users accounts. While trying to figure out how to fix this problem, I found several people who suggested using a program called DiskWarrior and who claimed to have success with it. I did not have a copy and I had gotten all my critical data off the disk that Leopard broke, so I did not purchase a copy of Disk Warrior. But, if you really must have that data, it might be worth exploring it.

    • They might be out there, but I don't see many Asians riding Harley's. What you described is definately what I've noticed among the Harley crowd. Even the "weekend warrior upstart Harley guys" have the goatee thing going on. I don't get that either. Seems like they should be getting fashion advice elsewhere.

    • Do you have any proof, other than your shouting it, that Dog does that show for free? I highly doubt that you are correct. If Dog did not get money for doing the show or the royalties from all the associated junk, well, frankly, that would be about as stupid as a celeb calling up his son in a rage about how his girlfriend is black and using the n-word over and over........ Post some proof, please.

    • Or we could just get rid of poker on sports tv stations and show some more Notre Dame Football Games instead.

    • I'm not familiar with that tc3. What is it?

    • sportsdork, Do you have any proof of your statistics connecting bicep band wearers and glove wearers? If so, I'd be curious to see it. I can't imagine that sweat is just pouring down the arm like that, but based on your profile in your avatar, it seems like you have plenty of experience with this.

    • dw17, Interesting. So are you saying that those non-NBC networks have no contracts with Notre Dame (even single game contracts)? If that is the case, it is even harder to believe that they don't switch when Notre Dame is getting blown out. Most likely Notre Dame will get the crap kicked out of them on some network station next week, and whatever network they are playing on could voluntarily switch to another game once the blowout begins but won't. I just don't get it. Even if people hate Notre Dame, like tc3 mentions, I can't imagine people really enjoying wasting their time watching any blowout. Maybe I'm just projecting my feelings onto them, though.

    • Kapusta is right! A picture would be awesome as long as we don't see anything brown.

    • Exactly, when it is practiced as you describe, it is a job. Granted, it's not a good job and I wish the person would get a real job, but in some ways it is like a sad form of employment.

    • That sounds pretty annoying (and expensive). I have to say though, that I don't really think Apple should repair it under any type of warranty. By your own admission, it was an accident that caused it. Perhaps you can ask the airlines for some compensation. I do wonder though, if you got "all the information" from your daughter (or if she really knows when the accident happened). The reason I ask this is not because I think she's not telling the truth, but because I have a macbook pro, and I've dragged it all over the place, including international flights, into rainforests, on crazy bumpy boat rides, etc, etc. I've never had an issue with it. I do properly protect it, but it has taken its fair share of jolts (and worse). Many pro's also can carry their macbook pros all over the planet. I would find it hard to believe that a bumpy landing cracked the screen (now if some other thing slammed into it , that's different), but I guess anything is possible. I don't think buying a dell is going to change things. You may want to call your homeowners and renters insurance company and see if they'll cover it.

    • Yes, and then they follow that drivel with somebody like Nancy Grace who is just an embarrassment to all newscasters. The state of TV news media (and other outlets) has fallen to the point where people like Nancy Grace are passed off as journalists when they are little more than (poor) entertainers.

    • I got a nice laugh out of it. Thanks for posting it.

    • Somehow we went from "is Apple's .Mac Mail Secure" to "You Can Get .mac Accounts for Less Than the Price Advertised on Apple's Website," which didn't really answer the question posed. Would everybody be happy if it was "My Biggest Complaint About Apple’s $69.95 .Mac Email - Not Secure?" The price really doesn't have much to do with how secure it is.

    • Lyle said:
I thought I'd also point out that you get much more for your $99.99 (or $79.99, or whatever) per year than just the email service.
I don't use .mac, so I don't know how it works. I was wondering if the same login security issues discussed here (whether they turn out to be true or false) are involved with those other services, too. Not flaming, just curious.

    • OS11 said:
What is with the $99.95 error? .Mac only costs $79.99 per year - (or less if you shop around) http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Mac-4-0-Online-Service/dp/B0007LW230 This article if full of lies it seems. OS11 -
So you found a price that was lower somewhere else and that supports the notion that the article is full of lies? Does that mean every time I read a review for a new automobile that quotes msrp, for example, that if another dealer offers me a lower price the review was full of lies???

    • If all you people would send me your PIN Numbers, I could fix your problems.

    • I wonder if Alberto has already forgotten that he resigned? Of all the people in Bush's criminal cartel, he was by far the one who had the worst memory. Ooops, I meant to say, was the biggest liar. Wait, I'm confused, how could I possibly figure out who in Bush's club was/is the biggest liar.

    • While I enjoyed this post, I am going to confess that I've never seen this picture either. Perhaps it's because I have no need for penis enlargement "products", so I'm never enticed to open penis spam. I think dBlock and dDub are in my boat. Chewie???

    • nopatience, We feel for you, but you really should invest in a macbook pro. Despite the problem that notquiteleet had with his defective repair, it really is a phenomenal machine. It has an iSight camera built in, and Skype works (mostly) well for videoconferencing right out of the box.

    • BLUE-CHIP said:
People dont know what they B talkin about everybodt say michael vick kills dogs. I wonder if the Vick Brothers will ever co-author a book called, "what if we did that....... and that...... and that..... and that......" They'll probably have to hire a ghost writer; I'm not sure either of them can write.

    • Justin said:
So maybe I am just very gullible, but as I am about to buy a Macbook Pro I must ask...do they actually all do that over time?
The problem in this particular instance seemed to be with the improper REPAIR. Another poster mentioned that his (or hers) was also bent up slightly on both ends. And I have seen this slightly on mine also. Basically, it is a fantastic computer, a great OS, and Apple normally has teriffic customer service. If you were going to buy one before you read this, I certainly wouldn't let this event change your mind. Get your credit card ready. Send me a free ipod, too!

    • aa said:
I am a true Atlanta Falcon's fan and I think all of this about Michael Vick is blown out of proportion. Do you understand what his name means. Well, it means "like unto GOD." The main ones that's trying to put Vick down is just plain jealous of him. He didn't kill a human. Do you eat chicken, beef, fish, etc.? Well, think about it. Aren't those animals. YES!!! Correct. People kill those so you will be able to eat. So, how about not eating any meat at all. The only difference is that we wouldn't dare eat dog meat. HOW Nasty. SO, before you make a judgment, think about other animals that is legal to kill. A DOG is no better. I LOVE what VICK has done for the Falcons. PEOPLE just need to stop judging and look at their own lives and live their lives to the fullness and leave Michael Vick life alone. LET GOD JUDGE HIM, NOT MAN!!!!!!!!
Honestly, this doesn't even make sense. There are so many problems with the logic that I don't even know where to begin.

    • Princess Leia, It sounds like this shoepeddlers isn't really a serious on-line business. I would bet it is an internet storefront for a corner shoe store, or some mom and pop trying to sell shoes they get on the cheap. Their website has some sections that are shadey, and clearly their business practices are too. Thanks for the review of them and warning the rest of us.

    • I'm with you. Granted, it's not as bad as the ED Advertisements that somebody else complained about on this site (Cialis or Viagra or whatever it was). I also had my beef with the writers of the dove messages. It seems like every third dove chocolate I unwrap has the message you complained about, "temptation is fun, giving in is even better." Here is my post. http://mybiggestcomplaint.com/dove-dark-chocolates-any-dove-chocolates-for-that-matter/80/

    • I think the London Olympic Committee comissioned Trey Parker and Matt Stone to draw this logo. It looks like something from South Park. That website, buzzdroid.com, does these things called Icon Battles to determine the worst icon. They should put this one up against any other Olympics Logo. I bet this would beat out every other icon ever, including those that haven't been designed yet.

    • Just out of curiousity, do you have any recent examples. I'm not up on this.

    • chewie, I don't know. Somebody is a little sensitive. It was a PR and publicity raising campaign. Pretty good one if you ask me. I don't at all see how this equates to a terrorist threat hoax. It's not even close. You'd have to argue that people panicked and that it caused chaos, and that people were hurt. That's what happens with a terrorist threat (much like screaming fire at a Ted Nugent concert). I disagree, the people who came up with this should be promoted.

    • "Kidney transplant TV show is a hoax By TOBY STERLING, Associated Press Writer AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A Dutch television show in which a terminally ill woman would supposedly donate her kidney to one of three contestants was revealed as a hoax Friday. At the last moment, presenter Patrick Lodiers of the "Big Donor Show" said the woman known as "Lisa" was an actress, not actually dying of a brain tumor as claimed. The entire exercise was intended to pressure the government into reforming its organ donation laws and raise public awareness of the need for organs. The three prospective recipients were real patients in need of transplants and had been in on the hoax, the show said." ...... If you want to read the rest,.... hit the AP newswire .... A great scheme to educate people and raise awarness about the importance of organ donation.. If you're reading this, please fill out your organ donation card and tell your family your intentions (you must do both). You gotta do this before you die or else nobody will benefit from your parts cause you can't speak for youself when your dead.

    • I don't know. I like going to a site, and seeing a search blank, and typing in a word, and getting to where I want to be fast. Expecting a user to append a ?s=search to the end of a URL isn't my idea of functional design.

    • This violates virtually every tennent of organ transplant ethics. Granted, if I want, I can give (one) of my kidneys to whomever I please. I can even sell my kidney (in some countries). But having the public vote on who is most deserving of the kidney, and having third parties who are not affiliated with the donation system (TV production company, advertisers, etc.) making big money off the transaction, is ethically problematic.

    • For the record, the sound on my Treo 600 is also way to low and my treo is broken and is stuck on FULL VOLUME (I can't turn it down). The odd thing is I had the old Treo 300 and I could hear fine. You looked like a Star Trek, tricorder toting, goober using it, but I could usually hear people better (not great mind you, but better).

    • I just enjoyed another piece of Dove Dark Chocolate and to my horror I found the following message: "Wink at Someone Driving Past Today." Seriously?? That's all you got Dove Chocolate Company? The head message writer needs to be fired.

    • It sounds like the U.S. prices are equivalent. I hear you. Honestly, you could almost buy a month of satellite TV programming or nearly three months of Netflix or Blockbuster (movie rental services) for what it costs for two people to see a movie.

    • Yes, I'm a linux freak too. My post wasn't about if you could transfer your music to an ipod. Hell, you can even run the linux operating system on your ipod if you want. As a rule of thumb, if you have to suggest that somebody contact the "usergroups of your distribution" you're not talking about real integration (and you're a linux geek and the person that would do such a thing is a linux geek, too. Another good rule of thumb is that: two linux geeks don't equal integration). If linux ever is going to make it on the average homeowner's computer, then they will have to secure one button iTunes installation and support (or something pretty darn close). Like I and chewie said, Apple needs to release a linux version. But why would they because they know that linux would take off if they did.

    • That sucks. The earbuds on my " iPod In-Ear Headphones" went out three times. Apple replaced them, but after the last time I gave up on them all together. At least nobody stole them.

    • I think you're complaining just to complain about something. You probably wrote this on a mac, didn't you? And you probably own a boatload of Jobs Stock, don't you? Me, I've got a real reason to complain. I've been patiently waiting for santa rosa and a freaking lcd display so I could buy my special someone a new macbook (since late January 07). I am formally announcing that there will be no new mac book for her (which means no new macbook for me, either). This Apple announcement was tantamount to me making an announcement that I would be upgrading the speed of my bowel movements.

He has quit for long periods of time in the past, but you must understand that when you start young, it is much harder to kick the habit than you think. It's not even a question of will power. When you are in high stress situations, it appears to a smoker, even one who has quit, that you may not be performing at your best. He will eventually get off the gum, don't worry.
James, I was wondering how you knew this and what your relationship to Barack and his wife is. You sound like you're in the know. Are you his spokesperson? You are correct, most people who "started young" are going to have a tough time quitting and I must say that quitting on the Presidential trail isn't likely. Nevertheless, a product such as Chantix (varenicline) would be more effective than the gum.

You are correct, he'd make a fine circus clown and nobody would mind watching him getting fired from a canon. I'd even find that entertaining. Franken summed him (and Coulter) up correctly in his book. It is hard to figure out which one, Coulter or O'Reilly, have their heads the farthest up their own asses (I think that's what Bill means by the No Spin Zone). Seriously, how does anybody who is as unqualified and incompetent as those two make it so high in the entertainement business. Their talent is only second to Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton.

    • puddles, It seems like I have to get heavy duty scissors or a utility knife to open almost everything I buy. Often I actually cut the item. AND in addition, the amount of waste that is generated (not biodegradale and easily recyclable waste, at that) is tragic. On things, for example, like a memory card, there is often 10x10 inches of thick plastic and it weighs more than the item itself. Insane.

    • I could not agree more. When this happens, I find myself saying (to myself and the person), "Just because your stupid cell phone is ringing, doesn't mean you have to answer it. Do you have any self-control?"
