• Blagojevich Chaos And Racism

Why did this turn racial? Rush should resign for making such an absurd comment! MOVE on people! For the love of God! It’s not about race all the feakin’ time. Look at the bigger picture for once. Burris may be a well qualified candidate, but it’s unfortunate that Blagojevich […]

  • Working With Women

I wish I could find a job that would never have to involve working with women. That would be difficult for me because I work for a bank. I have to deal with their bull**** everyday! The mood swings, rolling of the eyes and grudges that last for weeks, and that’s not even […]

    • What?

    • PD anxiety disorder! LOL!

    • "American?" Couldn't that really constitute anyone who lives on the north or south "American" continent?

    • Why do we pretend not to see color when it seems that's all anyone really sees?

    • Everyone on both sides of this argument seems to know the law. I would prefer we adopt the driving laws of Germany. Somehow they seem to "get it" when comes to freeway driving.

    • The older I have gotten the more I have noticed the exact thing, and yes it has come with success. People tend not to like to associate with positive, attractive, successful, happy people. It was interesting reading your complaint because the when you said "I am a very caring person, a good listener, and willing to give a helping hand to a friend in need, but whenever I talk about anything positive in my life, my “friends” want to change the subject or they actually tell me they’re jealous or they tell me they hate me (in a “joking” tone), or they half pretend to be interested and then stop contacting me." I swear I have said those exact words! I had a coworker tell me once that I have too much confidence and I come across arrogant. I am a "take charge" kind of guy but I have learned, especially since I am not managing people anymore to keep my opinions and suggestions to my self. I am using this outside of the office as well. Work is the worst, and I have finally realized that no one here is my friend and no one here will ever be my friend. On a positive note, I haven't given up hope. I still put forth the effort to relate to people and find friends. Hopefully one day, it will happen for both of us.

    • I'm 5'9" 150 run and go to the gym. I don't want to be over weight, and I don't want to be "skinny” I just want to be healthy. I hear from my friends way too often that I don't eat, or I eat like a bird. An ongoing joke is that I push my food around on my plate and if I do eat I excuse myself to go throw-up (SO NOT TRUE!). I am the thinnest one (and probably the healthiest) in my group of friends, but I get so sick and tired of hearing the same crap all the time. Yes, I eat in moderation. One night out for Mexican food and beer everyone ordered these massive meals. I ordered one enchilada, rice and beans. You would have thought I committed murder! I eat until I am full and no more. I couldn't imagine calling them out on what enormous portions they ate but it does seem to be ok to criticize me on the small portion I ordered.

    • Can you imagine if a European American said "typical black person?"

    • I agree with Mark: "Actually most people get fired not becuase they cannot do thier job but because they cannont get along with others they work with." If someone in power doesn't like you..no matter how well you do your job...you're screwed.

    • Your/you're, their/there, and seen and saw. (My personal favorite) It sounds so intelligent to hear "I seen it"

    • me three!

    • LOL! I love it!

    • How ridiculous to say not to bring your kids to an Apple Store because of one incident. Do you really think that Apple condones this? Come on. Two words that I wish would disappear form the English language, "disrespected" and "offended". Crap happens and you can't shelter your kids from everything. And if they are exposed to something you don't approve of don't look for someone or something to blame.

    • Why did you let her turn you around so you couldn't see? If you are that particular about your hair, then you should have watched her every move. I would probably guess that your gut instinct told you to leave with first chop; I know mine did when I had a bad hair cut. I would suggest that the next time you need a hair cut, do some research for TOP of the line salons, not a mall salon like Regis. I have learned my lesson. If I just need a "buzz" cut I go to the mall or super cuts, but now I sport longer hair and I pay $$ to go to a top end salon. Painful lesson, good luck.

    • It is funny to see complaints with incorrect use of their and there and your and you're (my personal favorite to read). I wasn't an English major but nothing sounds more ignorant than when I hear someone use seen and saw incorrectly. "I seen it” reminds me of a line out of the move Deliverance. But PeterRabbit is right; we're not here to correct grammar or spelling.

    • Can you imagine the complaints if these commercials portrayed the thief as an African American instead of a European American? They probably chose a "white" guy in a jogging suit to be as politically correct as possible and convey the message that "white" people are criminals too. No race is perfect, no one culture is better than the next and no matter what anyone thinks, you can’t please everyone.

    • Iceire, Ye is annoying.

    • White people are not the only racists in America. In fact white people are not the only rich people either. There are lots of poor, gay and immigrant white people living here. I see racism in my direction everyday. White people, I am sorry European Americans to be politically correct, always turn a blind eye when someone calls them white trash, or makes a derogatory remark about them. It’s really quite amazing. I hear it on public transportation and on TV. I was watching a show and this black girl said "Just what I need, more white people in my life” Can you imagine a similar sentence coming out of a white person’s mouth? "Just what I need, more black people in my life" for some odd reason the latter sounds worse, why do you suppose that is?
