My Biggest Complaint About U.S. Stores Rationing Rice Purchases

For the handful of people out there that still think the Bush Administration hasn’t run this country into the ground, I offer this.

Major retailers in the United States - the UNITED STATES - are limiting purchases of RICE. Good job George. On your watch, the greatest nation in the world may have an impeding crisis involving RICE, the carbohydrate that is consumed by virtually every impoverished person in the world. I’m not accusing you of causing the crisis, but I can’t help but think that decisions you and you buddies made contributed to or exacerbated it.

I never thought I would live to the day to see when rice was rationed. What will it be next?

  1. Hey maybe it is Bush policy. However as I was watching the newscasts showing how sams and such are rationing rice purchases I pondered as to why in the world would rice be rationed? The most logical reason I could come up with is the use of corn and other products being used in mass for the production of “biofuels” either shifting the staple to rice or rice itself being used for some nebulous fuel project. This is by the way a liberal policy even though its seems the Bush administration supports this behavoir that is going to starve us all to death. Don’t belive it just look at milk prices…

  2. Hi Mark,

I was wondering how long it would be before somebody chimed in about how the Liberals were really responsible for how the Bush administration acts. How is it that every stain on this president’s record is blamed on the liberals. At some point, it would be nice if we started holding those with power accountable for their actions.

Like I said, I’m not saying that the Bush admin directly caused this, as it is a global phenomenon. Nevertheless, it is yet another thing that has happened while this administration was in power.

The great thing is that the rebate we are getting from the Feds can cover the spiraling cost of rice, milk, and gas.

  3. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t like nearly anything the bush administration has done. (with very few exceptions) However when you look at who really is in power it is congress. Even tho the republicans can take the fall for creating the dreaded EPA it is it the liberals who today are the voice behind all the save the envrionment and global warming (opps climate change) garb. This is clearly 1 reason for the cost of food, eggs, milk etc to go up. As far as our rebate the your are talking about the $600 one right the one our government had to borrow to give us, the one that is putting millions of dollars of interest into chinas cofers(maybe they can improve their rice crops with this money), the one that is further debasing our US dollar and further increasing our oil prices in turn increasing our food prices and the chain goes on and on! Is that the rebate your talking about. Again don’t get me worng im not sending mine back but when will the welfare stop and good sence government start. Neither side is doing a damn thing to bring this country back to its great.

Just one defense for the Bush administration, GW did not ask for the USA to be attacked durring his watch. Anyone who gives it any thought must realize Bush has had one of the worst environments to govern in of nearly any president precedding. The only attack on USA main land soil in recent history, inheriting a failing economy for whatever reason. I just wish he would grow some balls and quite caving to the left wing socialist liberals.

Again it is congress who holds the real power in the USA so yes lets blame he who holds the power congress and at this point it is fully controled by the liberals!!!!! We could even hope the Bush one days uses the power he does have to stop all the ludicarcy but that wouldn’t be popular then would it?

After some amount of research I found that there really is no rice shortage. It is all reactionary in part due to the use of land for raising biofuel crops. (yeah a liberal policy). In part a recent reduction in rice output in the asian countries.

  4. Oh yeah and you clearly blamed the Bush admin for rice prices so don’t go get your panties in a bunch when I bring out the real plausible reasons for this event!!!!
