Almost every person who has ever lived above me in apartment buildings has:
1) Stomped around the house when walking would do just as easily.
2) Come and gone at all hours of day and night and slammed the doors every time in/out.
3) Yelled at friends/Talked loudly on the phone in the middle of the night while coming and going.
It seems like every upstairs neighbor treats an apartment like a dorm room: parties, drinking, coming/going. I’m a teacher, so I get up early and go to bed early. Why do people not understand that if they have parties that don’t end until 4am, *I* don’t get to sleep until 4am either? Is common sense this rare? People: if I live below you, then you have to TRY to be quiet! I don’t care what you do or what time of day or night you do it, but be respectful of your neighbors.

We live in an unconcious society.
Move to the upstairs apartment when it becomes vacant or better yet move out of the apartment altogether and into a house.
I’m not saying you are, but a lot of deadbeat people live in apartments, trash them, then move onto the next place to reek their havoc.

As ignorant as this comes off it is true.
When we start our “adult life” we start it in an apartment building. We get a sense of freedom and we party it up and act like the kids that we are. Eventually we grow up and move out of apartments and into homes.
If you want to get away from this buy a house.. or go to a really strict apartment complex. The price you pay for rent will likely be relative to the amount of partying you are going to hear upstairs and next door.
When I had apartments I partied it up at least 4 times a week. I have had my house for 2 years now and I havent had a single party.. when you OWN your home you gain a bit more respect for it and dont let people party in it like you do when its someone elses property you live in.
