I feel that the scores in the majority of the gymnastics, the womens particularly, were incorrect. With the “perfect 10″ being impossible now, the standards have obviously slipped. Allowing as many mess ups as the Chinese did have, and they are still walking away with medals! GOLD!! Completely ridiculous!! Are these people serious? Whats next?

I fully agree. And notice that the Chinese got a huge number of their medals in judged competitions, like Gym, diving, synchronized diving etc…
If you take out all the Gold Medals won by judged competitions, the US beats China by a significant margin total medals and the gap between the US and China Gold medal count would be closed (and probably the US wins in this case).
Judges are humans who are influenced by other people, faces, events etc.
Besides, it’s well known that judges tend to be more leanient (read: biased) towards host countries.
