Have you ever had a good plan go bad?
I’ve had what seems like a million good plans go bad since I’ve been on this island with these idiots. I don’t know how to explain it, but every time I have a great plan, somebody else screws it up.
I’ll give you an example, OK?
So, I give my two friends a gun and I say “Shoot that dynamite over there.” My one friend who is a dentist had a rifle so he was able to shoot the dynamite on the first shot and blew the whole thing up rather well. However, my Korean friend had a pistol and could not hit the explosives from about 20 meters away.
My Korean friend totally screwed up my plan to blow up the dynamite and because of this, we get captured.
And then my dentist friend . . . well let’s just say he wouldn’t have lasted 10 seconds if I were torturing him. I mean all you have to do with this guy is threaten to kill one of his friends and he will go all “blabbity-blabbity” on you. This was the first thing we used to do in the Republican Guard with guys like this because it usually works, but I thought he was tougher than that. I kept telling him “Shut up, be quiet!” and my Korean friend who they were going to kill was ready to die with honor, but the dentist - he just tells everything to our captors instantly.
This is just one of the many examples of the complete incompetence with which I am surrounded here on this island.
I’m over it and I can’t keep my silence any longer.

Sayid - Naveen, is that you? [how gullible am I - wishful thinking perhaps!]. Yes Sayid, I agree with you completely. You have to be THE most rational person on that island and no-one seems to listen to you (what’s up with that?!). If you had your way, everyone on that bloody island would have been rescued by now (or everyone would have at least been brought to some form of Karmic redemption). I think you have more than proven yourself you sexy Iraqi you…grrrrrrr…..

Ever tried to use a handgun to hit a target that far away? Such is why cops can shoot at a guy 5 feet from them and miss with almost every shot.

Yes, I have hit many targets that far away with a pistol. In addition to my communications skills, I am highly proficient with firearms of all sorts.
Remember, John, this is but one of my many complaints about my time here on this island. There are many more examples I could give you. Unfortunately, I don’t have a very good internet connection from this damned island and I need more minutes on my T-Mobile Hot Spot account anyway.
Sayid, That means you have Internet access on the Island? Or you are already off the Island? If you are already out, let me know, I’ll invite you a drink after all the lives of my friends you saved. cheers!

So you are able to hit a target 20 meters away with a standard issue beretta 92 9mm parabellum, and yet you preferred to keep the remington 700 bolt action w/scope? (thats the rifle btw)
