I have used yahoo mail as my web-based mail interface for almost six years. All-in-all, it has been fine.
My problem with it, is that it should have a filter that allows me to deal with the year 2038 date. If you are not familiar, here is what happens. For whatever reasons spammers can send out mail that has a date year of 2038. I sort my mail by date so this crap gets top posted in my InBox. Yahoo has figured out that mail from 2038 is spam, and puts it in the “Bulk” (i.e., JUNK) mailbox, where it also top-posts.
So your wondering what the problem is. I want my yahoo mail to have a filter where I can send that stuff directly to the trash. Then it is gone. Why, you say? Why just not empty your Bulk mailbox and be done with it?
Because occasionally legitimate mail gets accidentally filtered into my Bulk mailbox by Yahoo. Things like autoreplys, forums signups, password changes, stuff that would be easily be misinterpreted by Yahoo’s junk filters. The problem is that I can’t go to my Bulk Mailbox and easily look for these messages because there are thousands of spams with dates of 2038. Essentially, my Bulk Mailbox is my Trash Mailbox.
Does this happen on other mail services (those similar to yahoo with a web interface)?

My gut tells me you’re a spammer trying to get around this.

Sorry Winnie,
Spammers are making way too much money spamming to waste their time posting on a website like this.
The point is …. exactly this …… get what you pay for … all free sites will eventually manipulate you the customer, by selling off you information which is stated in their fine print, and or sell off you identity by selling off information in your email account, which can or will be information to access many accounts you have … someone said a long time ago … stay secure … and do not release anything about yourself online at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SPAM IS JUST THAT AND THE HIGHEST BIDDER WILL WIN … TO SELL OFF YOUR IDENTITY
BUT AT WHAT COST TO YOU
USE YOUR OWN SERVER WITH YOUR OWN SECURITY DON’T KNOW HOW

It is not even possible to search the spam folder if you want to look for an e-mail from somebody that you think may have been classified by Yahoo as spam. Fix this!!
