I have always ate subway subs with out a problem until today.to make a long story short.I ordered a foot long {not the 5 dollar one}and I am not a pig. So my wife and I were going to split it.So I order my sub meat cheese veggies I ask the girl to just put the peppers on my wifes half .The girl says I am sorry I cant do that.I ask what do you mean .Well then the manager comes over and says if I wanted banana peppers on just half I would have to buy two six inch subs at the higher price.I ask why she said that was corporate policy and she would be fined personally 150.00.I think this is no way to treat a customer.Needless to say it made me very angry that something as little as peppers on half would make my order qualifiy as 2 six inch subs.Clearly this cant be the corporate rules is it. I feel this manager was just trying to impose her will. Not very professional either with her swim suit top on inside store. Any subway people know of this rule. I had bad service at Subway Clarkesville,GA .Anybody else?

i have split a sub with my husband may times and he likes all the peppers and things that i dont so we get it on only half, no one has ever said no… so either it is new in the past year my husband has been deployed or they just didnt want to do it… i would call corporate and ask, and report the manager in her swimming suit top.
I checked and yes it appears to be company policy. That’s how they scam people into paying more than they should for a sub sandwich “on sale.” I would FIRST have called the area supervisor, and if unsatisfied, corporate headquarters.
If the supervisor is just another “diversity” person, don’t waste your time; call someone at corporate.
Here’s their online customer service request form:

We do different veggies on each side at the one I work at, we only charge for 2 seperate sandwhiches if they don’t have the same meat.

“we only charge for 2 seperate sandwhiches” Good lord did you make it out of second grade? Can’t you spell anything?
Most Subways, even if that is the rule, will allow you to do that. In our store we will make a foot long with whatever they want on either side for the same price as long as it has the same meat. Meaning, they just have to have the same bread and meat. Cheese can be different as well as veggies. I have never heard this rule, nor have I EVER been threatened with being fined!

Hint, hint. Stop eating at Subway. Imagine the triple decker sandwich you could make at home for $5. Actually, you could make three for the same $5 as a Subway footlong, and SO much better. Better yet, imagine the size of the chef salad or antipasto you could make at home for $5, without all that bread. Again you could make three huge ones for the same $5. $5 buys a lot of food outside of Subway, including lettuce that is actually green, and tomatos that are actually red and ripe.
