My Biggest Complaint About Stubbing My Toe

I don’t understand the physiology behind it, but when I stub my toe, I am overcome with some sort of other-worldly rage and super strength. For a few seconds, the rage is insane and very difficult to control. I’ve seen people try to get psyched for battle or sport by doing crazy things; they really just need to run full on into a chair leg sticking out in the middle of the floor.

That’s what gets me going.

Like I said, I just don’t understand the mechanics behind it. I’ve been punched in the face, kicked in the nuts, speared in the gut by linebackers and I once fell about 12 feet and broke my back. Nothing so far approaches the pain induced rage I experience when I stub my toe.

When I stub my toe, I could bend steel. I could also easily knock out any one within arm’s reach because I just have to start swinging. I’ve got to let it go. Most of the time it’s a language release, but other times I have to beat the living sh*t out of a pillow or wall.

All because I stub my toe.

My biggest complaint about stubbing my toe? I’m sitting here typing this complaint with my entire foot in a bag of frozen peas and corn because I just broke my big toe. No, I didn’t break it stubbing it. How I broke it is not as important as my complaint - breaking my toe hurt less (initially) than stubbing it.
