If you’ve listened to sports radio for any amount of time longer than 5 minutes, you’ve surely heard one of those sports betting expert commercials where somebody tries to dupe you into a phone call to get the sure-fire lock game of the week. The lock game is usually so good they’re going to give the pick away for free along with 3 other picks everybody is completely missing.
In my best screaming madman sports betting guy voice - “CALL ME NOW AND WE’LL BE CELEBRATING AT THE HALF WITH THIS ONE!”
This complaint was inspired by this complaint about financial advisors and stock brokers. My complaint is really the same thing - if these are such sure-fire, slam dunk wins, why the hell aren’t you just betting everything you have on it, cashing out and shutting the hell up?
Why do you have to continue on week to week with these commercials sleezing cash from guys who don’t have enough money to pay off the last bet they lost?
And if you’re just dying to give away the pick because you’ve only got one ass to wipe with all the cash, why don’t you put the money you won with last week’s lock game where your mouth is and send me $50.00 bucks when I call instead of just bestowing your generous knowledge upon me for free?
