I don’t get it, what have I done to deserve this? Both of my children received a computer game for Christmas that will not work on my PC.
I have upgraded the video card, I have talked to support, nothing. I get a fatal error when you run the program.
One vendor just says, we will exchange it for another title. No help, except to update video drivers.
I have now reformatted my machine back to plain install of XP. Still won’t work.

Yep you use dot have know what the above line means and enter pages upon pages of this stuff line after line or with punch cards or worse with little switches. and yet now we complain when a program so complex it could run nuclear missiles wont work flawlessles.

My older daughter is in an advanced reading program, and program at the library where she has to read ~30 age appropriate books. My children read plenty.
Occasionally they like to play some games.
I would like games to actually work when installed. And if not, support to give a damn.
I’m not getting the XBox because we don’t need a dedicated game machine…we have Coleco and Atari from the 80’s when we want that.

I still baffles me why someone would ponder the functionality of a program so complex and get upset when it don’t work?
As for tech support don’t you know they program bugs into that software just so they can make you pay for a support program. no thats something to be angry about when you buy software with no instruction nope not even on disk……you have to go take the class that costs $3399.00 at the marriot to learn how to install and use it and then you still have to pay for a support plan $949/yr.
