If Ron Paul were to become president (and I think he will) with a mandate to cut bloated, unconsititutional, bureaucractic spending (which I think is also a given) Congress will have little choice but to get with the program, and start gettin' real quick!

With Constitutional restraints back in place the IRS is unnecessary. The budget has a surplus. Maybe we will want our money back. Congress doesn't want to buck that. 2 years go by in a wink on the hill.

We are legion! We don't copy and paste; we think! Our man will win and we aren't going to rest until the whole job is done. Don't piss us off!!!

Can't you doubters see the forest for the trees. Politics control has been wrested from the hands of the establishment. It is now in the hands of the people again via internet. I always thought that was the goal of people who frequented this joint. Or has the lure of power, fame, ego and riches corrupted that many of you?

I believe that there is a higher, more noble, purpose for our lives than to look good, feel good, and be top dog. This battle, this revolution, is for all who have sacrificed before us and all who will follow. We are bearers of the torch of libeerty lit by the Forefathers of America.

We have a high calling and a solemn responsibility, and many of us have been waiting years, even decades, for this opportunity, Don't underestimate us and don't embarass yourselves by displaying your small mindedness.

If you have something significant to offer, Bring It On! Otherwise, get back up on the porch, sit down, shut up, and learn!

Interesting the talk of repealing the admendment creating the IRS and the income tax. Many people hold the belief the amendment was never properly ratified by the states, and therefore would not need to be repealed.

There is currently a huge grass roots effort to get the IRS abolished and the numbers are staggeringly close enough to get the attention of congress.

check it out fairtax.org

You know the real scarry thing about talking about abolishment of the IRS/income tax is ---- there has to be some means to fund the federal governement and that would need to be put into place before the income tax is ablolished. And guess what im sure you all know our government nearly as well as I do they will impement the replacement funding means and never get rid the income tax and then we are really screwed.

Just like the many goverment tactics to get funding and earmark it for a certain thing let say aids research let say they want 10 million for the cause. What they don't tell you is there is allready 10 million going to the cause from lets say General fund. Now when the people accept this noble gesture to give the gov thier 10 million for the Cause what does the gov do they pull the original 10 million and use the earmarked funding effectivly giving the gov tax base a 10 millon dollar boost.

Steve Savage nailed it.

Howard Deans 'implosion' was the result of one single overenthusiastic moment that turned into a media phenomenon, and virtually assassinated the 'anti-war' candidate, and left us with a SNB election du'jour. Kerry took a dive, and refused to contest the election, despite overhwhelming evidence of voting irregularities (i do not like Kerry or Bush, for the record.) All the Dean debacle proved was the power of the Establishment Media to sway the minds of the voters by exploiting footage of politically irrelevant events. With that said, im sadly expecting the day when ron paul walks out of a public restroom with a bit of toilet paper stuck to his shoe, and the establishment media jumps all over it.

'Don't tase me, bro!'

Ron Paul represents everything the GOP isn't these days. 1) it isn't republican 2) it isn't conservative 3) it isn't moral 4) it isn't peace loving 5) it doesn't respect the constitution.

So every time a blogger says he's "annoyed" at ron paul, he's not owning up to his own insecurities about his party. Liberals hate ron paul because he doesn't like big government, and GOP monkeys hate ron paul because he's a real conservative, not a neocon trotskyite like them.

You're a bit off. Ron Paul is the Lyndon LaRouche of 2008.

Howard Dean went on to political relevance.

Considering that all of your federal Income Tax dollars go to pay just the interest on the Federal debt created from nothing by the (illegal) Federal Reserve, simply by by Treasury printing our own paper money with no debt attached - which would eliminate the need for the Federal Icome Tax.

Then paying off the current debt would be the problem.

To solve that, you eliminate our worldwide empire of military bases and bring back all the forces from overseas. If we really are in a War on Terror, perhaps securing our OWN borders rather than the rest of the world's borders might be a good idea?

@ replication - I don't think too many people would argue with you or RP on abolishing the IRS in theory. The only thing I'm asking you and the other Ron Paul hacks is how will Ron Paul "abolish the IRS"?

Ron Paul obviously loves and respects the Constitution a great deal. What you hacks don't realize is that Ron Paul as President or any other President for that matter could never "abolish the IRS".

Have you read the Constitution, replication (and other hacks)? Silly question, I'm sure you keep a copy in your back pocket. I'm sure you're familiar then with how to repeal Constitutional amendments.

Go read the Constitution again just for the hell of it. Then come back and tell me again how Ron Paul will "abolish the IRS". This time, don't tell me "by making our government smaller" because that, replication, is not one of the ways to repeal an amendment.
