My Biggest Complaint About People’s Reasons For Voting This Year

I’ve heard it so many times already. “I never vote, but this year I’m definitely voting.”

Why? Why start now?

Well these are the reasons I get:

  • “Because I want a female president”
  • “Because I want a black president”
  • “Because Obama seems nice”
  • “Because Hillary would kick every nation’s ass”

You know what.. if that’s the best you can do, you’re not ready to vote and that’s the reason why you’ve never voted before. You’re not taking this whole process seriously enough. And granted, the entire election process is flawed a great deal, not to mention the suspicion of tampering with votes. But you don’t vote for someone solely because of their skin color or gender. You vote for them because you’ve studied them and truly believe that they are going to bring respect and ability back into the oval office.

I don’t wanna hear how you’ll vote for Obama so that his State of the Union address will be spoken over a hip-hop beat. You’re reasoning is ignorant and it’s not even funny. You are the reason why the government doesn’t count individual votes and instead counts electoral votes. They know you’re an uneducated immature fool and they designed this process to compensate for that.

  1. The voting system in this country is a complete joke one candidate is full of **** as the next one. The goverment of this country was created for the people but it is run by special interest groups who who give so much money to the candidates that they have no choice but to be in the pocket of this special interest groups. We live in a country were people in jail have more rights than Tax paying citizens simple case Death Penalty being labeled as cruel and unsual punishment how about the about the lives that this lowlifes took without mercy and the pain that they inflicted on there victims. Also your calling people who vote because they like a candidate for no apparent reason how about the ignorant 58 million morons who relected the current Dictator who is ruining this country. And besides regardless of which party wins the White House if Congress is not controlled by the same party we all know that nothing changes dirt throwing on each other. In closing what am saying is that voting in this country is a joke this is coming from a person who has never voted a day in his life but am proud that i served my country 9 years in the Army put my life on the line for my country and for you to tell people that there ignorant in the way they vote i think it’s arogant.

  2. There is only one reason to vote this year. Ron Paul.

  3. @Chris Future, I think DBlock was talking about the U.S. Presidential election.

What election is Ron Paul running in?

  4. Yeah Dblock is talking about presidential election but hey what kind of reasons are those he lists.

    I want a women,
    I want a black.
    etc. etc.

Not one of his reasons are I want our country to proper and great leadership. For the people of this country to be better off than they are today.

Come on pull the head out and get real reasons that really matter.

  5. Just to correct I meant prosper and have great leadership…sorry.

And buy the way Ron Paul is running in the US presidential election. He has not conceded and until the official count he is still in.

  6. what the hell you people have no life a good reason to vote is because you think they will do the right thing for the country not because their race or their gender so next election get real and do the right thing for the country and vote for the person who will do the right thing for this country

P.S. YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT I’M SEVENTEEN AND I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT THEN YOU!!!
