Get a grip people. He is a politician just like the rest of them. Don’t get sucked in by this whole cult of personality. Look at his actions, his voting record, not his words. He is presenting himself as a uniting centrist, but if you look at his history, nothing could be further from the truth. Use your head not your heart when you vote. Obama is not The Saviour.

To those who think Ronald Reagan was an evil, unintelligent and corrupt ogre, then how come between the years of 1981-1988 did we experience the longest span of peace? Reagan made amends with Russia. And one of the greatest feats was the removal of the Berlin Wall. Reagan was able to revive the nations economy after those lovely Carter years, but Reagan did spend, and much to do with rebuilding our military that Carter made serious budget cuts with. By the mid eighties our nation was pretty much out of the financial doldrums, and economic growth was soaring. Remember the yuppies of the 80’s? It was during that time when young, affluent people were able to forge ahead without the looming inflation and job losses under Carter’s reign. Now those yuppies are quickly aging and being taxed to hell and quiver at Obama’s health reform plan, better for the government to be able to control it’s people, not help them. Reagan was a man of substance and HE loved his country and was proud to be an American, unlike the other guy: Obama, who obviously has contempt for America and what it stands for. Reagan also presented himself with tremendous poise and integrity. His presidency was one where Reagan didn’t need to be in the constant limelight, even though he had been an actor, he didn’t let it go to his head. Obama’s need for media exposure is stomach churning. For those who are dyed in the wool leftist who’ll stop at nothing to degrade Ronald Reagan and his wife with unjust attacks, then it’s your right to feel and express your opinions. Remember it’s because of men like Reagan that have upheld the constitution to insure our liberties and freedom are protected and that we’re able to express our opinions without penalty. Try that in Cuba or any country run under a dictators thumb. You’ll end up minus a thumb amongst other things. Now let me just say this: to date, what has Obama accomplished? How much has Obama spent in a little over a years time? How many of Obama’s “ideas” have yielded to anything positive? It almost feels like the Carter administration all over again. Let’s just wait for what’s looming around the corner….

I can’t help but imagine other countries sitting at the their computer reading these posts. Hopefully all of you who are arguing and calling each other names can see this also. These posts imply a lot of inner-conflict between Americans which in turn shows weakness within our country. Those who leave civil comments and opinions are one thing, but those who leave racist comments and like handing out insults to others are really making our country look like an idiocy instead of a solid, strong democracy. Each President has done their fair share of good and has been damned for the things that were not so good. Remember one thing though…..The President alone does not make things happen. The people of this country are allowed to vote, write their state representatives, and so forth. So when things go wrong perhaps all the blame should not be directed towards the current President, but at the voters as well. As for the current election… may the best man win, and yes, Obama does have as good a chance if not more than the other candidates. His list of achievements as President is quite extensive. The bottom line is…. no matter who becomes President or is President, someone somewhere is going to have a problem with him while someone somewhere else is going to think he’s the greatest thing to happen to America. Where are the people though? We can’t simply elect a President then sit back and expect one man to handle all of our problems.
