My Biggest Complaint About People Who Pay Cash For Gas

By no means am I suggesting you put your gas on a credit card. That’s a terrible idea. But you could at least use a debit or check card and speed this thing along a bit.

I’m not asking you to be a cutting edge techno geek, but check cards are technology from the last millenia. You could at least get into the 90’s.

I’ve seen this complaint about cash being considered obsolete, while I agree with the complaint in spirit, there is no excuse for wasting time at a gas pump to run inside and put $5.00 on pump #9.

  1. I agree it slows things down a bit, though now gas stations are starting to give discounts to those who pay in cash. The credit card companies and banks charge the gas station a percentage per transaction. With the rising price of gas, this is starting to cut into profits. By paying inside with cash, you could now save up to 15 cents a gallon.

  2. Sorry bud, but I’ll continue to pay for my gas with cash. I don’t have a debit card and don’t use credit cards………………..tired of being tracked for every transaction I do!

  3. I can’t believe this is a complaint! I hope to god, you use some type of EZpass system for toll roads, so you don;t have to stop and pay, because if you don’t, then you seriously need to STFU, because you’re slowing me down. Are all of your bills set up on an Autopay system, so money is automatically taken every billing cycle? No? Then STFU! Because you’re tying up the system with your petty manual bill payments, get with 90s! And you need to start finding more than one gas station to go to, because it seems the one you’re going to is always packed, why else would anybody care about how the person next/front of/to them is paying for their gas.

  4. Here’s a hypothetical.

“I am 16. I work for my money, but my parents won’t let me have a credit card or access my savings account because they don’t believe me to be responsible.”

    **** you.

    complain more.
