My Biggest Complaint About People Driving With Suspended Licenses - Recklessly

“Why would anyone drive while their license is suspended?” is a good question. A better one is “Why would anyone drive recklessly while their license is suspended?”.

I make my living off of these people and I haven’t been able to figure it out yet. If your license is suspended but you still think you might want to risk driving - why would you drive at oh … say - 90 miles an hour? Why wouldn’t you just move quietly with the flow of traffic and try not to draw attention to yourself.

The same thought goes for people who drive with drugs in the car and think, “So I’ve got drugs in the car. Whatever. I’m late and that’s far more important. Hit it!”

  1. I got pulled over while driving on a suspended license, but the tag light was out on my car, so that’s the reason why I got pulled over. Apparently my license had been suspended for about 6 months due to schooling issues but I hadn’t known this until the officer informed me. I assume my mothers boyfriend had set the mail somewhere in his room (he never gives me my mail).

By the way, it was my first and only time getting pulled over (so far).

  2. Why do people drive slow in the left lane, these are all good questions. Some people are idiots and that is that.

  3. I got pulled over for my tail lights being out due to a fuse one night and the officer was just going to let me off with a warning because one of the other officers that was there knew me and was just going to waive it. After a few minutes of sitting there they come back to me and say “do you know your license is suspended?” I was completely unaware that my license was suspended and I have my current address that I live it, hasnt changed, me nor my dad or mom have seen any sort of notification from the DOL stating that my license was suspended. My public defender hopefully requests the right documents from the DOL and if they have on record that they sent it to me then hopefully I can convince a jury that I did not recieve anything, and I have several witnesses to support my claim. After I was notified that I had a suspended license I found out I had 2 unpaid tickets (both of which I paid immediately!) And my license was reinstated and I can drive now, my court date is on the 11th of February and hopefully everything goes smoothly.
