Are you one of these people? If so please explain to me why you can’t pry yourself away from the phone for just 5 minutes so that your child has your undivided attention before saying goodbye to you.
I see this all the time when I take my son to pre-school in the morning and I think its horrible. I’m not complaining about talking on the phone while driving to school. These people are taking kids out of the car seat, walking across the parking lot and into the school hallways with the phone stuck to their ear each and every day.
Don’t you want to talk to your child before leaving them in someone else’s care? Who are you talking to and why can’t you wait until after you kiss your child goodbye?

Totally agree: parents who fail to prioritize shouldn’t be surprised when their child/ren grow up with no self-respect nor respect for their parents. If they feel rejected by their own flesh and blood, how are they supposed to adjust to other less intimate social settings?
