“Yea.” (I hate answering dumb questions like that. As if, “No, that wasn’t me. I was worried Aliens had abducted my phone and text messaged all my friends before returning the phone to me. Since I don’t speak Venusian I’m asking everyone of my contacts if they were text messaged. I didn’t actually send any text messages out personally.”)
“I have like 4 Jakes in my contact list. I thought it was this other Jake from my school.”
“Well, it wasn’t. Now that I’m here in front of you, feel free to respond to my text message verbally.”
Maybe I’m the only person on Earth that uses first and last names on my contact list. If you know my last name and you know other people with my first name, perhaps you should be slightly more proactive and, gee i dunno, include my frickin’ last name. Or if I’m t he Jake from work and there’s a Jake from school and a Jake from the circus and a Jake from rehab, then put “Jake - Rehab”. C’mon people, let’s set ourselves up for success.
