Therefore, if you are making a left onto said highway, you actually must legally turn left into the left-most lane, and then after that, assuming you want to travel a a slow/moderate speed, and you can reasonably do so, you change into the left (oh, and please, please, PLEASE use your signal when changing lanes too). Regardless, I'm in 100% agreement with the author of the post, and I always make it a point to turn into the lane where the closest oncoming car is farther away than the one in the other lane. It's just polite. But then again, who am I to be polite when driving - it goes against the norm these days, doesn't it? Meh...
