My Biggest Complaint About My Voice Activated iPod

Okay, so maybe that’s a tricky little title. I don’t have a voice activated iPod and that’s my biggest complaint about the whole thing.

Apple has just released the umpteenth generation of iPods with yet another oh-so-sleek look and cool color scheme. Great, I can now watch video on my iPod Nano. I can even get an iPod that looks like an iPhone.

But still no voice activated iPod.

Before you pepper the comments with links to hacks for voice activation for the iPod, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about Apple releasing an iPod I can plug in to my car and say the song I want to hear and have the iPod shuffle to it. Besides being cool, this would improve my driving greatly.

I’m not bad about talking on my cell phone while driving, but I have been known to scroll through a few song lists in traffic. It sucks. It’s dangerous.

(btw, nice redesign, guys)

  1. I want one too! I’m still waiting for it to be invented. And yes, scrolling while driving is a thrill!

  2. its sucks having to stop every time you want to find a song. and why are new cars still fitted with cassette players prehistoric man, it would’nt cost ziltz to put usb in car systems.

  3. I just saw a voice activated ipod—-I was getting an interface installed and the owner of the shop used his ipod and he was able to say “Bon Jovi” and it scrolled and started playing. WAY TO COOL!!!!!
