My macbok pro has constant issues.
From little nagging issues like the power button not sitting flush, as well as the thin aluminum strip above the “open” button… Though this is only the start. The operating system has continued to have the “bug plague” for the entire time I’ve owned the system, but the problems still continue on the hardware side. The lid no longer comes anywhere close to springing open like it did to start with -and when asking Apple employees how much it would cost to fix they said $450!!! Not only that, but googling how to fix proved to be futile.
And to top it all off, after not being able to renew my applecare due to them not sending a reminder to the right address, the optical drive has failed - it won’t even accept cd’s - after less than 1 year and 4months of use, and very little optical media burning in that time..
What a joke. If somebody could help me, or point me to the right people that could help, that would be super…

the right path is the one to best buy where you can buy a PC instead, I wouldnt own a mac just due to it not being the mainstream system that most software is designed for, but i always thought apple made very hardy equipment, I have an ipod that looks to be one of the toughest peices of hardware ive seen in a while
