Please realize the greeting is something you DON"T GET OUT THERE....it's not a requirement to greet customers(unfortunately), and you should appreciate it when it does happen. Ok, so on occasion you DO get a hi, how you doing today? How many in your party? Smoking or not? But it's not because anybody wants to greet you but because THEY ARE PAID TO BE HOSTESSES! THEIR ONLY DUTY IS TO TAG THE PEOPLE WALKING IN. For the love of God, appreciate when someone "multitasks" and greets you while rolling someone elses food. It seems that someone somewhere got confused when they were told they need to great and treat their customers. This certainly does not mean an artifical robotic programed Hi or Hello shouted across the store. This really means to take a genuine interest in your customers their lives their wants needs and desires and to relate to them based on their wants needs and desires, and a canned shouted hello across the store floor certainly does not address any want need or desire I have.
