What the hell happened to rock music? Anybody?
I remember AC/DC, Slayer, Metallica, motley Crue. They wrote about war, women, drugs, fast cars, getting drunk and beating people up no reason and murder, and the real hardcore sh** that makes me wish I could go back to afghanistan again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, got a little worked up. But thats what rock and metal are supposed to do! Why are people playing guitars and weeping and sobbing all over themselves its the saddest most pathetic crap I have ever heard. Staind for instance I remember ya’ll when you were called The Cure.
So you got fat, shaved your head, and your guitars have some distortion, but I know the cure’s crap when I hear it. Rock and metal should be violent and kick ass. There should be no mention of a break up unless its because you cheated and dont care!!! Stop crying!! This generation of music is the whiniest boo hoo crap I have ever heard. WTF!

1. Open your mind.
2. Listen to something real. Perhaps if you turn of the radio and spend an ounce of energy in researching good music, you’ll be capable of mentioning a band that hasn’t had a top 40 hit.
There’s magic to be experienced in music, and you’re missing out on it. Sorry for calling you an idiot, but it was necessary to open with harshness, so perhaps you’d listen.

I want to say that the complaint he’s writing about isn’t music in general. Its rock music. I agree that rock and metal used to be hard core and for the most part all you hear on the radio is songs about how terrible life is, its depressing. There are some kick ass rock bands out there now though. Lamb of God, Cavalera Conspiricy, and even Metallica has a new album. But there is a lot of sad whiny stuff too. P.S. what the hell is EMO exactly? Is it a music thing or a style or what? And whats the difference between emo and goth?
