My Biggest Complaint About Militant Morning Joggers

I’m all for . But if you’re not in the military, or your not in high school gym class, exercising before 10:00 AM in public is just rubbing it in the face of people like me who feel like they’ve been in a car wreck when they wake up.

I see you joggers on my way to work each day. I’ve managed to shower, dress myself, and find my keys. I think I’m doing good and then I see you.

To be that sweaty, you must have been up and at it by 6:00 AM.

The worst part about you militant morning joggers is that you actually look like you’re frolicking instead of running. Everybody who runs post meridian looks like they are struggling but you’re so dainty and comfortable with your pace. Maybe it’s because we’ve been working all day and can’t put our lives or job on hold to jog before we brush our teeth.

I realize you have to exercise when you can and we live in a 24/7 society. If you work all night and you’re just getting out at o’dark-thirty to run because you have to get to bed by 9:00 AM, that’s cool. You should wear a special sign with a secret insignia or something because we can’t tell you apart from the one’s rubbing it in our faces.

  1. I am an avid walker myself and have been for years but am unable to walk in the early morning hours because I have to go to work. I bought myself a treadmill a few years ago which has worked out great because I can use it at any hour of the day or night I choose too.

  2. Walk on, Puddles. I can respect that.

Morning walkers seem less militant anyway. They glisten less.
