How hard is it to rinse and wring out a sponge when you’re done with it? It drives me absolutely bananas when I go to pick up a sponge to wash my dishes and it’s all soggy and makes me AND the dishes smell like mildew. Come on, now.

First I must say sponges a a very very bad thing especially to wash dishes. They are not even allowed in commercial kitchens. a sponge has so much surface area for bacteria to attach to and grow wringing it out will only reduce the water level such that it make an ideal environment for the bacteria to grow. Try storing it in a clorox solution. Or better yet GET RIDE OF THE SPONGES. Use a cloth which can be easily cleaned and dried between uses.
