Mike Vick can suck on it. Killing a dog is sadistic because
a) they have cognitive thought
b) they are in fact alive
c) even if they couldn’t think, its still sadistic that Mike Vick got kicks by betting on life and then killing other life.

maybe your right Squeaky, but I hate to see a talented man in jail for a relatively weak offense, what if he were fighting cochroaches or ant fights, does the size of the animal matter, because those fights are just as brutal on a smaller level!

I agree that he should be let FREE to play football but have to give all of his income to animal funds so that we can spay and neature these lame creatures people call pets, I’m not going to have a dog because I’m not going to pick up dog pooh like some chump!

I have known a lot of black people, and while they often will say, “such and such is a black thing,” I have never heard them said dog fighting was. In fact I’ve never heard anybody say it until you just did JuddyB.

I think most black Americans are disgusted by Vick’s behavior, even though many americans - of all races - enjoyed watching him play football and thought, before his fall from grace, he was a fairly upstanding man.

You have got to be kidding me. You really think that this is a racial issue? You talk about hatred that apparently everyone had for Vick. If I can remember correctly, Vick was once the most popular player in the league, and not because of hatred. It was because he is an athlete un-like any we have ever seen before. He had the top selling jersey in the league (bought and worn by thousands upon thousands of people across the nation that you now claim ‘have always hated him.’) The racist cop-out excuse is getting so old and so incredibly lame. That’s not what Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for. He wasn’t out there saying ‘because of racism, we won’t be able to accomplish anything.” He was marching and saying “because we are strong, we can rise above ANY sort of discrimination, regardless of our RACE, RELIGION, GENDER, AGE, WEALTH, SIZE, SMELL, etc.” If anything, when it comes to issues like this, WE are the racist ones for pointing blame, and WE are the ones carrying hatred if we cannot rise above the crutch of using racism for excuses for anytime something happens. My main point is, I don’t see why people are trying to make Vick out to be such a victim here. He is the prime example of someone who has everything and throws it away for something with absolutely no value whatsoever. Wrong is wrong and what he did is not only so terribly cruel, it is also terribly embarrassing. I love him as a player, I hope he comes back and takes the league by storm again, and I wish the best for him…but I also pray that he truly has an apologetic, contrite heart and notices the wrong that he did so he can be a model citizen and stand up as a future role model that has been given a 2nd chance. He can be better than this…but only if he wants to.

I am so sick of you self-righteous people that do not know anything about Michael Vick only want the press has given you and those so called friends that would say anything because he will no longer support him. Yes it was wrong what has been done, he is not thug nor is he a sociopath. You racist and bigots are using this to fuel hatred that you already had, this just helps you feel legit in what you are feeling. I know one thing for all of the people that want him destroyed and dead because of these dogs so they say. It has nothing to do with the dogs if it did you would want him to take care of the animals and re-educate himself and those that still look at him and want him to succeed. Its not about the dogs it is about hatred towards one human being that you hated before you knew this now you feel justified. You will have to answer to God for what is in your heart. “Let no man judge lest he be judged” remember that when your day comes.
