My MBP 15″ has undergone 2 repairs to fix the problems that I have been having with my screen. The screen will (about 4 or 5 times a day) jump up and down and flicker - large gray and white bars appear on the display and can only be fixed by rebooting.
The first fix Apple changed out a video cable. There weren’t any results, my screen still jumped and faded out to white and gray bars. And, as a bonus, there was a crack in my screen that wasn’t there before.
The second time it was “fixed” (I just got it in the mail from DHL today) they replaced the screen. This fixed the cracked screen problem but now I have new problems. The screen frequently goes in and out of an “inverse color mode” which I know can be fixed by pressing ctrl, option, command, 8, but it has been doing this every time I start it up. This also randomly occurs while watching DVD’s. The backlight is uneven and unless I have the brightness all the way up, there are about 8 vertical columns of light on the screen. In addition to these new problems, my screen still jumps up and down and fades out to white and gray bars.
Apple obviously cannot fix my MBP and I cannot keep handing over my computer for repairs (it’s been in and out of repairs for a month now). PLEASE, I need help! What should I do?

Tell him about your problem and that the Genius bar isn’t helping to fix the problem.
Hopefully someone from the exec offices will get back to you.

I thought that I had heard that if you take a unit in for the same problem 3 times, and repairs are ‘worked’ each time, that they would put your HDD into a new or refurb system and give it to you — No? Under warranty?
