My 6 month old Macbook Pro cracked when I was cleaning the screen. Apple told me that they have never had this complaint before and that it was my fault for “pressing too hard”. What a joke, a $2000 computer and I cannot even clean the screen without damaging it. There is no way I was pressing too hard as it cracked as soon as I ran my hand over it once and there are still finger prints where I went over it. I own a second Macbook Pro and I was about to buy an IMac but I am so pissed off about the allegations against me by Apple and their obvious lying about not receiving complaints like mine that I just may never buy another Mac again! It boggles my mind that they will not repair this under warranty.

I strongly recommend you purchase Acer computers. They are terrific units and priced very well. They are the best brand I have purchased (15 units).

I have owned my custom Mac Pro for less than a year…babied it beyond belief…NEVER picked it up by the screen…it sits on my desk and ossasionally I take it to my office couch to write…so I picked it up supporting weight with my left hand and postioned the screen with my right and CRACK….big crack right under the camera and the crack just flared out like it was made of the cheapest material imaginable. I have owned high end dells, toshibas, toughbooks and several others that still work wonderfully…but since I do so much photography and videography work EVERYone said I needed to get a mac. And even though it is under warranty they say it will cost me 1200 to replace it! I spend over 3000 on a computer I baby and 439 on one that I just carry everywhere with me and the 3000 apple mac pro hardware is very dissappointing. Now get a load of this…I tell my husband about the crack he goes upstairs to take a look at it and the hard drive goes out before his very eyes. I am sure someone it thinking oh we must have dropped it or something….NOPE…and I am really ticked and from reading all complaints am thinking someone needs to get a class action suit going against Apple!

I purchase a macbook Pro 17inch and for no reason at all i opened my lap top and the lower right at the bottom a moon shaped crack. and it wasnt due to my neglate

Boo-hoo. Spend your money on a sturdy computer and stop trying to show off to your friends that you can afford a mac.
