We continue to have difficulties in getting our time machine backup reinstalled to our MacBook Pro. Several trips to the the Victoria Gardens Apple store have been disappointing and unproductive. After several hardware replacements on a 14 month old MBPro, we cannot seem to do a system replacement even using Time Machine. Several trips into the Apple store have been frustrating and non productive. We need help here and are unable to get it ,even with several trips in to the store to resolve the situation. What need to know is how to restore our system before Apple sent it off to whoever they send it off to for repair. This by far has been the worst retail experience we have ever had , and we are an Apple convert from PC. Help!!!!

All you need to do is plug in your time machine drive and go through the home folders (the folder with your name) and drag out what you need (music, photos, documents). If its not restoring normally, most likely there is corrupt software, and you do not want to transfer that back.
