I was saying/implying that the image that John McCain had (and in fact is still touting himself) at that time in my mind was that he was a surviving POW and this gave him some John Wayne like coolness. This was a long time ago. Sadly, as was the point of the post, after years of being run over by the Bush administration, I no longer feel that way about McCain. I will reiterate, somebody who has been a POW should never vote to send our country to war without reading all the intelligence reports. Of all people who should know better, he should have.
