I want to start out by saying there is no way that I am going to vote for McCain. I’m not a Republican and I am sick of the way that the current Republican administration has run this great country almost into the ground.
Knowing that, you might think that I am happy about the recent New York Times story that McCain was having sex with a lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, and then showing favoritism towards her and the business she represents. Any press like this would seemingly be good for my team. I actually don’t even care if this is true and I doubt anybody will every prove it one way or the other.
My complaint is that I’m sick of having this kind of crap (and we all knows it goes both ways) dominating our political elections. I won’t dredge up the past. If nothing else, it would be nice to have an election where Americans can make decisions based on the candidate’s platform. It would be nice to have each American focused on the true issues that will actually AFFECT their LIVES (what they eat, where they work, health care, retirement, all that). What we have now is a bunch of interests groups trying to dredge up muck on the opposing candidate, and instead of having an election based on issues, we have one based on slander and the defense of it.
Even if the Vicki Iseman thing turns out to be true, I really don’t think it helps Americans decide on the issues that will improve their lives. The cycle continues.

You know your right! We have more issues that can and will affect Americans lives today in this elections season than at any other time in recent history. Things such as the war on terror, terrorism, our current debasing of the American dollar, our banks loaning money like it is dirt, our out of control energy costs and so so much more. Not one of our 3 hopeful candidates are even speaking of any solutions or even any proposed solutions. One way one of these three could come out the victor in November would to be present some common sense, believable and doable solutions to the problems facing our country today .
