My Biggest Complaint About HP Desktop Tech Support

Desktop was not loaded correctly. Called support the same day I received the computer. After being on hold for 20 minutes just to speak with someone I had to repeat myself no less than three times with each one of her questions.

I was told there was no support for my desktop and that she would not help me unless I wanted to pay for the service. I asked her to spell her name so I could work with the Tiger Direct to get this straightened out - she refused to give me any further information.

She was rude and inconsiderate. Could not speak clearly and definately could not understand English very well. My last question to her was: So you are refusing to give me information to straighten out a problem with your computer? Her answer was “YES”. I called back to speak with a manager - he also refused to speak to me. I would strongly suggest not purchasing anything from HP or Tiger Direct.

This entire problem could have been handled in a completely different manner if HP had been willing to work with me as a consumer of their product. Computer was returned and I am filing a complaint with the BBB.

  1. Good for you! I think it’s ridiculous how compony’s like microsoft charge you over $50 just to get support w/ their products. Or when people who don’t understand English and certainly can’t speak it, try to provide support to people in America. So good for you to stand up against it!

  2. BTW this is all the result of capitalism, cut cost, always raise profits, if not then your company stock goes in the toilet. In this case the customer service is the victim, they give you “customer” service that 5 years ago could have been considered a joke, but now when ALL the computer companies adopted it, the consumer is F@*# in the @$$.
I had a similar problem, could net get anything out of them, they know nothing, it took me 40, im not kidding, minutes to explain what a heatsink was. i gave up. In the end after 2 months of brocker computer, sending it for repair 3 times and countless calls to India i wrote a letter to presedent of HP on their website, explaining all ths hit and just teling them that i wont buy HP again. HALELUAH the next day a person from California called me and resolved the problem in 2 days. So my advice next time write a complaint!!!
