Why can’t gay Republicans just be openly gay?
Oh, wait a minute - must be that whole “Republicans = Anti Gay” thing the Republican party has been winning elections with recently. “No gay marriage”, “No gays in the military”, “No gay hair dressers”… the list goes on and on. I’m sure they stuck “no gay elected officials” in there somewhere.
Here we are again with another gay Republican getting ready to resign. Mark Foley, Ted Haggard (not elected, just a plain ole’ real world leader of massive amounts of Republicans) and now Larry Craig.
OK, so Larry Craig may not be gay, but he’s definitely guilty of some toe-tapping in the crapper. Maybe he shouldn’t resign. Maybe he should run again with “Not Gay Just Guilty” as his slogan. He’d probably win because voting Republicans would only hear the “Not Gay” part and punch the hell out of that hanging chad.
My biggest complaint about gay Republicans is that gay Republicans can’t just be gay. They have to throw all this stuff in with being gay like Foley and the little boys, or Haggard and the meth, or now Craig and the gay stall sex.
Come on gay Republicans. Just be gay. Be happy, be homosexual and lead a nice clean Christian life.

ummm, last thing first gay and christian are not possible ok well the christian faith considers homosexuality as sin. Republicans are mostly christian and republicans firmly stand against gay lifestyle CHOICES. Therefore my contention is that there are no gay republicans just gay people with some repulican values and ok maybe some christian values. These people the republicans mostly do not want to be associated with. So they have to hide in the closet to protect their status and not be ousted.

I don’t understand how anyone agrees with 100% of their Party’s agenda. What if a Republican supports the rights of gun ownership, property rights and fiscal discipline but happens to like members of the same sex? Heck I’ll take their votes! Lets be reasonable and allow people make their own decisions about who or what they screw (provided its consensual and both parties are over the age of 18).

Lol. I agree 100% with this article. Yea they can be gay and live a christian life. Everybody sins and that would be there sin to deal with how they please. God loves us way more than just sexual preference although he did put us here to reproduce with the opposite sex; he still oves us past all the junk we do in everyday life.
