I watch a ton of football. I’m watching it right now. USF vs. Rutgers. Some dude just returned a kick and got hit with what seemed to be a routine tackle except for the fact the guy’s helmet went flying off and he had to high tail it to the sideline before certain death from the next hit.
This wasn’t the first time I’ve seen a football helmet pop off this year. It wasn’t the tenth time either. I’m pretty sure I’m into the high twenties of helmet popping off sightings this season.
I’ve never seen helmets flying off like they are this season. College or NFL, it doesn’t matter. It’s like the cool thing that can happen to you this year or something. Somebody gets hit and their helmet flies off. For a split second you sit on the edge of your seat and cringe as you wait for the play to end.
To the credit of everyone involved, nobody ever quits on the play. Sans helmet? Who gives a crap - hit that guy now!
My biggest complaint about the football helmet popping off epidemic is that I think “something is afoot” as they say. I’m not buying it. I think the players are doing something to with their chin straps or something like that because, as I said, I’ve never seen so many flying helmets popping off like I have this year.

you all dont know what you are talking about, no one wants there hat hit off its embarrising. hiting someone elses of is cool but your own not only is embarrinsing but is painfull and dangerious. (i know my spelling sucks sorry)
