Good points. I work in an art museum and I have a few more to add:

Please do not answer your cell phone in an art museum and if you must talk, then just say, "I'll call you back." It is so rude to chat on your phone while others are trying to admire a piece of work in peace or read the information about the artist or art work.

Do not be so rude as to change a childs dirty diaper on the chair in a museum gallery. Go to the bathroom for gods sake!

Do not touch or sneeze on the artwork! All day long I watch people reach out as if it is show and tell. Art museums are for looking only! Don't put greasy hands on 100-year-old paintings! Same goes for modern art. Just because it is not an antique does not mean you can touch it to see what it feels like.

Don't put kids on your shoulders and walk around so they can see - or let them run through the halls. They can fall and hurt themselves and/or damage the art work.

Teenagers: please do not sprawl out on the floor or lay on the chairs as if you are sleeping. If you have an art assignment to work on - bring a pencil (not a pen) and ask to borrow a clipboard or use a book as a hard surface. Don't write on the walls or the display cases.

Thanks!

You are dead on!!! A few things you forgot to mention.......

To the messy fitting room...does your closet at home look like that?
Please wear sanitary napkins when trying on clothes, or at least have the courtesy to tell us afterwards. 1, we know it was you and, 2, what if you were the person that found it???!!!
Our fitting rooms are not bathrooms for your children, let alone a place for you to dispose of your dirty diapers! Again, do you let your children urinate (or poo, for that matter) in the middle of your living room?
We do NOT barder!!!!!
I could go on and on, but that will not do any good. People will never change or respect what we do, and put up with. Do onto others.....

Would I come in to your work and yell at you because I can't read????
