TV should set an example for being family friendly. And these commercials start earlier and earlier (8 pm I noticed tonight) when young children can watch TV too. More stations are picking up these commercials too. I don't need more shock either, like car wrecks in insurance commercials. I get the point. And who is in control of how many times the same commercial runs. I saw the same BoFlex commercial repeated over and over in the same hour to where I wanted to throw my TV set out the door for good. Is anyone listening out there?????????? Hello! Please clean up the commercials (really!) and have a plan to rotate them so you don't make people absolutely sick of them, then you'll bring back support from viewers like me. Years ago there were no drug ads on t.v. that was the doctor's job to research drugs. I recall that Pfizer first justified the Viagra ads by claiming erectile dysfunction was a serious medical condition that needed to be addressed. However now the commericials are absolutely about recreational sex and depict some bald headed guy picking up his wife on a motorcycle and driving to a hotel for sex. The ad states that Viagra brings "spice" to your sex life. It is simply disgusting! What happened to the serious medical message about ED? I guess Pfizer had to go after more customers as the ED market got more crowded. The good thing is that viagra will be generic soon and Pfizer won't spend a single penny to promote it anymore. All of a sudden erectile dysfunction won't be important to Pfizer anymore and they'll start promoting some other product on TV. I have had to endure these commercials at a time in his life when he already feels inadequate since he is going through his normal changes and this really really send so many many wrong messages in a society driven by standards of unattainable perfection. If a person didn't have ed, I imagine they would after being bombarded by so many of theses offensive ads. He usually laughs at them since 15 year olds have the opposite problem, but I hate them and we would rather they not be in our living room every 5 minutes.
