I’ve been buying and selling stuff on ebay since before most people even knew what ebay was. Maybe it is just me, but it seems like eBay has become a money gouging operation. I just sold something that cost $299 and the eBay and PayPal charges came to $25.00. Twenty five dollars! You have to be kidding me.
When did it get so expensive to sell items on eBay? Was I not paying attention? It seems like the new ebay business model is as follows: as eBay’s profits and stock price go down, their fees go up!

Think of it as ‘cosignment’ fees **shrug**?
Then buy your own store - a real one- and compare fees. Why do people expect everything for free these days? Would those same people work for free?
Sigh, i know. Of course they have overheads, but it’s tricky to know how much are they covering their overheads and how much is good, old fashioned greed.
