My Biggest Complaint About Dog The Bounty Hunter - A Hero

Hey you know what? The guy is only trying to help people, what have any of you ever done but sit on you a**’s and do nothing, this guy is trying to make up for everything he has done in his life, give the guy a brake, why don’t you look at what he has done rather then what has happened? People mess up.

I live in Canada I work for the Canadian army. Why dont you juge me because I worked with the US army too and I can tell you they have alot higher kill count. This guy has not killed anyone, he is doing more good then anyman I have ever seen and no guns no killing what else do you people want, why don’t you stand up for the hero’s of today rather then throwing them all in jail, hey if I was in his shoes I would have done the same thing this guy is a hero leave the guy alone and let him do his job.

Dog im with you, buddy.

  1. Me too. Love the guy as do many of my friends. Be sure to visit Dog’s site and sign a petition to block his extradition to Mexico.

  2. I couldn’t care less about Dog the Bounty Hunter, but your profound ignorance of this man’s life is disturbing. Three decades ago, Chapman served 18 months in a Texas penitentiary for first-degree murder. This is far from “this guy has not killed anyone” as you can get. Not to mention, this guy, as a private citizen, went into a foreign country and attempted to kidnap someone, in violation of the law. Why are you sticking up for this guy? Are you an advocate of braking the law in order to bring ’scum’ to justice? And if so, what is the point of having any laws, anyway, if you can just break them willy nilly when it serves your purpose? Doesn’t this offend your notions of fair play and justice…let alone honor? Non-thinking cretons like you make me ill.

  3. for all of you that feel the need to sit there and put down dog. why dont take a look at yourselves and ask what have you done to put these a**holes behind bars. dog is a good man that paid for actions. so why dont you people leave him alone and get a lfe.

DOG I BELIEVE IN YOU! KEEP YOUR HEAD UP MY PRAYERS ARE WITH U AND UR FAMILY!

  4. Firstly I highly doubt dog served 18 months for 1st degree murder that is more like life in prison or death by lethal injection GET REAL! Who is privy to Dogs criminal record? If your going to make statements about his criminal record please support it with verifiable documention. Dog brought to the USA a terrible criminal yes in violation of law, MEXICAN LAW not american law! Why? becuase Mexico will not cooperate with the USA in extradition of criminals. Now what about the people of Mexico breaking our laws on our soil, yes by the hundreds every day and what does Mexico do? They give them maps and instructions on how to succeed not repremand them, dicourage them and make policy and procedure to prevent them! So why I ask should Dog be incarcerated at the hand of the USA for breaking Mexican laws in order to help the USA law enforcement apprehend a violent criminal?

America Hating fools like you are the true disease!

Is Wikipedia good enough for you? - “Before becoming a bounty hunter, Chapman had frequent run-ins with the law while serving as sergeant at arms for a motorcycle gang, including 18 arrests for armed robbery. In 1977, Chapman was convicted of murder and was sentenced to 5 years of hard labor.”

How about Dog’s own words? “D. CHAPMAN: Well, that’s, like, hypothetical. I think I threw a rock at a car. But, you know, I had a terrible past until 21 years old. I was actually in Texas prison when I was in my early twenties. So…

    KING: For what?

    D. CHAPMAN: I was an accessory to a murder. I was in a motorcycle gang and one of my brothers in the gang went in the house and there was a shooting, came back out. And in the early ‘70 in Texas, there was no accessory before, during or after. There wasn’t back then. So all of us there went to prison for the same thing. ” (see transcript - Larry King, Aired December 3, 2006 - 21:00 ET

  6. Ah yes you show my point exactly even tho perhaps his sentence was for murder he never has killed anyone!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Mark-
Putting aside the legal niceties, if you are involved in a criminal scheme, and someone dies as a result of your scheming, you’re telling me that you aren’t morally guilty of that crime and the death that results from it?

So it doesn’t matter if you are a principle or an accessory or an accomplice or something else…in my book, morally, you’re still a murderer.

Think of it this way, if you and a friend rob a bank with a gun, and your friend shoots and kills someone during the robbery, legally you are guilty of felony murder, even if you didn’t pull the trigger yourself, because you ‘helped’ to kill someone.

In response to your question whether Dog should be punished for breaking Mexican laws, even though he apprehended a violent criminal, my answer is yes, for the same reason why criminals should be punished anywhere.

Should the U.S. have turned him over to Mexico? Maybe, even though Mexico is shirking on some of its treaty obligations, the US has a duty to keep up its end of the bargain…but I understand that reasonable minds can differ on this issue, as it is political in nature. I probably would have said no…but that would have given them an excuse to say no to us next time…ugh.

As far as illegal aliens and what not…total red herring, and it has nothing to do with our discussion really…although I agree with your point.

And for the record, I love America, drink beer, I support the troops, hate illegal immigrants, and I am not quite sure why being tough on crime = hate america in your book.

  8. A lot of people get in the wrong place at the wrong time and a lot of people make mistakes and do change.

  9. just so you all know I decided to check the source cited by abogado and here is what is says clearly not what is stated above and even after stating the source.

Source Wikipedia - “Chapman was sentenced to five years in a Texas prison in 1977 after a conviction on charges of being an accessory to murder. During his incarceration, Chapman became a Christian, and was released on probation after serving two years of hard labor. ”

ok 5 years not 18 months of which he served 2 years according to wikipedia.

And as you see above it was not a coviction of 1st degree murder it was an accessory to murder.

  10. @Mark, that page on Wikipedia that I quoted has been edited several hundred times since I quoted it in July. Although the quote does not appear there now, the substance of your quote is exactly the same. Rest assured, the quote was certainly there when I made the comment back in July. In any event, the facts are the same - Chapman was sentenced to 5 years, served 2. Perfectly refuting the comments of ‘Mark’ (not sure if that’s you or not). Although it is difficult to tell from the original comment whether or not that ‘Mark’ was doubting the conviction for murder or the time spent in jail, one thing is clear by Chapman’s own words said many times over and cited by me earlier - he was convicted of a felony involving murder and sentenced to 5 years in prison. Anything else is semantics.

  11. I was never doubting the conviction of Dog (dog has had his share of runins and problems) however have allways known he did not commit a murder nor was he convicted of 1st degree murder as stated.

I beleive you now make my point with your backpeddling

“that page on Wikipedia that I quoted has been edited several hundred times since I quoted it in July. Although the quote does not appear there now, the substance of your quote is exactly the same. ”

Dog now seems to be a very upstanding productive member of the community.

As your quote clearly shows…The source is not reliable

as I said in my first post… “If your going to make statements about his criminal record please support it with verifiable documention.”

As you have clearly demonstrated this source is not reliable and verifiable is it is changed several hundred time.

  12. Ubu Walker, it’s YOU who is profoundly ignorant. If somebody was actually convicted of murder, do you really think they would receive a mere 18 months for it? It just so happens that Dog was charged as an accessory to murder for not calling the police to report it. He was not the one who shot the victim, and was not present when the crime was commited. THAT’S why he got a mere 18 months sentence.

As for the “kidnapping” allegation, the foreign country in question was Mexico. You ever heard of it? The place where murderers, pediphiles, rapists, cop killers et al., all go to escape justice! Don’t rap off about “justice” and Mexico in the same sentence, bub!

And for your information, Dog had a Mexican cop with him which made the apprehension legal, but said cop split when the tacos hit the fan, and left him holding the bag.

And what is the point of having laws anyway, if you can just break them then go hide in a corrupt country like Mexico? Well, a wealthy serial rapist like Andrew Luster may rape your women, but he’ll spend a lot of cash in your impoverished economy and pay a lot of bribes to your corrupt officials. And THAT was really why Mexico had their panties all up in a bunch!

What about the innocent victims of this monster? Or are you unable to see their agony over your own sour grapes, petty jealousy?

As for non-thinking “cretons,” the word is cretins, you moron! And idiot hate mongers like YOU make Me ill!!

  13. A Creton is a cretin with the intelligence of a crouton. Duh.

    >If somebody was actually convicted of murder, do you really think they >would receive a mere 18 months for it?

Supposedly it was 5 years under an accomplice theory to murder (not sure what degree), and he only served a little more than two years, which sounds fair and about right to me….

    >And what is the point of having laws anyway, if you can just break >them then go hide in a corrupt country like Mexico?

The fallacy in your logic is that if a country is corrupt, you don’t need to follow their laws, which is patently ridiculous. This is like saying that since Louisiana is a corrupt state; therefore, I can violate its traffic laws at will. No. (Perhaps if you were talking about a repressive law dealing with freedom of speech or other ‘human right’ you might have an argument, but we are talking about a very well established and serious crime, called kidnapping, which is around in every jurisdiction. You can’t just go around kidnapping and arresting people, anywhere.)

My point is that you have to follow the law, no matter what country your in, even if the person who you are trying to arrest is a murderous pedophile.

  14. Nice try with the “creton” thing, but I prefer to stick to the English language.

But to get back to the point here, the actual charge against the Chapmans was “deprivation of liberty,” and not “kidnapping.”

And I agree with you; you DO have to follow the law in whatever country you’re in, and the procedure Dog used, i.e. having a Mexican cop with him when the arrest was made, was totally legal. Is it his fault that the cop he paid to help him turned out to be just another corrupt Mexican scumbag who ran when other federales showed up? Typical corrupt taco bending federale!

And under US laws, the Chapmans should have NEVER been arrested for a Mexican kidnapping warrant when Mexico never charged them with that. The actual charge was only a misdemeanour, and therefore NOT extraditable!

Let’s face facts, if Dog hadn’t become famous after the LUSTer apprehension, then Mexico would have NEVER tried to extradite him. They’re all about the pesos over there, my friend. NOT justice!

Well, since this whole crooked case was recently thrown out of court by a Mexican judge, the whole thing is a moot point now. The good guys won, and that’s all that matters!!

  15. @NightHunter
It is good to hear that the judge tossed the case against The Dog. According to A&E (here) the charges were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired. Which basically means the government waited too long to prosecute the case. Which is good enough evidence to me that the prosecution completely mishandled the case, and the benefit of the doubt should go to the Dog.

  16. Ok, how about this corrupt country and having to follow their laws um sorry your both wrong you only have to follow those laws in the corrupt country which inherently do not benefit the corruption at hand. You are correct nighthunter its about the all might peso. This is a true story as an example. While on a cave exploration trip in deep south Mexico we entered a town it was a very new town just established, and with this new town was a brand new road leading to this new town. As the first visitors to this new town we were greeted with grandeur and glory until the new mayor made a decision ( a new law for a new town) that the first users of the new road would have the grand privilege bestowed upon them of paying for the road in its entirety. Now how is that for corruption and following laws? Laws are meaningless when the highest bidder wins!

  17. Looks like A&E canceled Dog’s show because this icon of America went on a rant about those damn n*ggers. Shocking. He won’t be missed.

  18. I am going to write the station that suspended the Dog’s show because of the damn “N” word. Why don’t they cancel the shows that call us Honky’s, crackers, whities, etc. This is a land of freedom of speech or is it? I love to watch his show and will do whatever writing or telephone calls to get it back on. I think his son is a sleeve bag for selling a private conversation between him and his dad. His dad should fire him from his show, if he was one of the boys on there. Guess his son will now have to make his own money instead of living off of his dad’s. The Dog is the best and I had hoped to be able to meet him when I go to Hawaii in April 2008. He has done some great things getting the very bad guys and women off the streets. Just think, if he had not caught Andrew Lester, the man, not the Dog, could have been drugging and raping your mom, your daughter or your sister. THINK ABOUT IT AND GIVE HIM A BREAK. There have been a lot of people that have been in prison that are now low abiding citizens.

  19. over-sensitivity to words aside, how do you defend a guy that would do this to his own son rather than simply making an adjustment in his word choices? how cruel, base, and selfish is that? apart from any other considerations, this is a despicable wretch of a person.

  20. Just heard the tape in its entirety! Well as the mainstream media normally do its all jumbled to give the wrong impression. Apparently this girlfriend of Dogs son had been threatening Beth dog’s wife. And it is not just an adjustment of Dogs language it is of his entire crew, and if you have ever tried to control what other people say well that ain’t going to happen.

And for you Archer HOW pretell do you defend a guy who would tape his father knowing full well what you are going to get him to say and what you are going to do with the tape, sell it to the enquirer now that certainly was not an after thought.

If you want to rag on Dog rag on him for raising a scumbag of a son who would such a thing not on him for trying to do what is right and get his son to straighten out his life!

  21. you said he never killed anyone? Perhaps you would like to tell the Oliver family that! He killed a man in 1977 he was convicted of murder in Texas. He has been convicted of drunk driving, domestic violence, impersonating a police officer, armed robbery and so on.

  22. anyone who doesn’t like Dog can suck balls. Mexico IS A CORRUPT COUNTRY which means all their laws are corrupt. MEXICAN POLICE IN JUAREZ (across the border from el paso) RAPE WOMEN. Dog is only putting these criminals where they belong–behind bars; it doesn’t matter what other country they flee to, THEY ARE STILL CRIMINALS. sure Dog was convicted before BUT EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES and honestly Dog is one of few ex-criminals who actually changed his life for the best.

  23. i ♥ dog 2 i wtch his show all the time and i think he is amazing. I don’t think his show is going 2 be canceled. people can just say what they want 2 say because he is a good man he has done his time in jail but he has turned his life around and turned into (like) a cop and he catches bad guys. if he was not like this he probaly still be sitting in jail for doing stuff and i can tell you dog has nerved killed anyobdy

  24. yeah…he was convicted of murder but i dont think he actually did it…i know he was bad before but he changed himself unlike anyone else has…you must understand that he still probably carries old habits like saying the n-word…thats how people were back then, especially in texas, were he was imprisoned

  25. I guess a few people have not read this post in its entirty if they did then they would know that dog was not convicted of murder!.

  26. Sorry Mark, if you’ve been convicted as an accessory to murder, you’re a murderer. Sort of how if someone was convicted as an accessory to rape, you’re a rapist. The underlying crime is the same. Just because Hitler didn’t personally kill anyone by pulling a trigger, doesn’t make him not a murderer.

However, I agree with you that he reformed and a good contributing member of society. (At least when he isn’t mouthing off about nappy haired hoes, or what not)

  27. Oh sorry Ubu Walker, If accessory to murder were murder then they would call it murder and it would carry the same punishment or sentencing.

You know about the reform its kinda like we used to say in gradshcool it takes one to know one. In fact the bad actors from my childhood mostly grew up to be cops of some form or other.

  28. Well, since new “Dog The Bounty Hunter” episodes are being taped as I write this, and also since Tucker Chapman has been tossed back into the slammer for violating his parole (as his dad was afraid he’d do!) it shows that justice is alive and well!! Karma sure is a beautiful thing!!!

I guess that nut-job Ubu Walker must be crying all over his crack pipe now!!

    BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

*That was me and the Dog having the last laugh Ubu Walker, you hate mongering scumbag!

    DOG RULES!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. @NightHunter
You are the one sowing hate in this thread. During this whole internet conversation, I have not once lowered myself to a personal attack against another poster. Calling out Dog’s racism isn’t hate mongering…it is doing what any American who loves his country should do, which is try to heal the racial divisiveness in this country. Insinuating that I smoke crack and calling me a scumbag is just juvenile name calling, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
BTW, I’m happy that Dog has his show back, I am a big believer in forgiveness, especially since Dog has said that he has taken on the responsibility of being a racial healer for our country, at least according to Roy Innis.

  30. yeah go dog!!!…**** his son…he deserves to be back in jail
