My Biggest Complaint About Defending Your Friends

What I don’t understand is, how some people can pretend their friends have not done anything wrong and just insult people for disagreeing with their friend. If it is obvious that your friend has done something wrong, don’t defend them, just convince them not to do that thing again, and try to apologise to anyone they offended etc.
Just because they are your friend, does not mean they are never wrong, it just means that you can usualy forgive them for most things and you will defend them when it is clear that they need it. Many times has someone insulted me, and because I tell them theyre being ridiculous or sick, or whatever, their friends then shout things like “OMFG, HOW DARE YOU TALK TO THEM LIKE THAT. THEYRE MY BEST FRIEND. OMG” It’s just stupid.

  1. I agree. My best of friends can be counted on one hand. I don’t think it’s right to exclude a person out of a conversation if there is a small group. It makes a person really feel left out and uncomfortable. Does anyone have this problem?

  2. Hobo….why do you always change the subject and look for advice…go on oprah.com for that. As for the poster I agree that this is a very annoying thing, but what if it was the opposite situation? Not disagreeing, just playing devil’s advocate.
