Be careful buying tickets to fly with DELTA in advance. If you wait for a couple of days after making your reservation and try to check ticket prices for the same flight again you would be surprised!!! Prices get cheaper and cheaper the closer your departure date is!!! The most disgusting thing is that DELTA manipulates all possible charges, surcharges and even taxes to mislead you. They make everything possible to rip you off. There is no system and no good explanation for that. Customer service is helpless.

What you say is the exact opposite of everything that I have experienced when buying airline tickets.
Maybe I’m confused. Are you talking about unsold or last minute seats on Delta Airlines?
A good website to sign up for is www.farecompare.com - it will tell you where to buy the cheapest tickets and will send you e-mails when the ticket price drops.
I am also very angry with Delta. They started charging $25 for second bags recently. They did NOT tell us in advance. We had purchased tickets and they had our phone number and e-mail and did not tell us. They did not tell us at the start of the trip but when we returned they slapped us with a $50 fee because the policy change had just started. I wrote an e-mail to complain to them and they basically said “Too bad, so sad. We won’t return your money.”
