My Biggest Complaint About CNN Anchor Chit Chat

I can’t take it any longer. I stood by quietly when CNN got rid of all the ugly people that could report like Aaron Brown and replaced them with sexy hotties. I stood by when CNN gave the hotties hour long shows of nothingness that were completely devoid of any worthwhile content.

But the chit chat is just too much and I can’t hold it in any longer.

The news segway has always been difficult. It’s really understandable when you think about it. After all, how do you relate a tragic story about {insert tragic death story here} to the 7 day extended weekend beach forecast?

My biggest complaint about CNN anchor’s is that they’ve taken the segway to a completely different level. CNN seems to be not only allowing, but encouraging chit chat between the anchors. Rarely is any story tossed between two anchors without some smart ass comment about the story. I have seen a rash of recent opinions given by CNN reporters who are not the ones who are supposed to have opinions.

The chit chat approaches sexual banter or foreplay in some extreme situtations. Watch Anderson Cooper and Erica Hill at night and you might find yourself yelling “Come on - get it over with, have sex and get back to reporting the news.

  1. Yes, and then they follow that drivel with somebody like Nancy Grace who is just an embarrassment to all newscasters. The state of TV news media (and other outlets) has fallen to the point where people like Nancy Grace are passed off as journalists when they are little more than (poor) entertainers.

  2. I completely agree with everything these guys are saying. Also, when did the news become an hour for these idiots to go on rants about things that aren’t even factual. It’s all biased, opinionated crap. I have tried to find a way to contact cnn and complain, but to no avail. No where on their websites do they give email adresses or phone numbers so that one may contact them. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

  3. I am sitting here watching CNN and listening to Tony Harris shout the news in a speed talking voice (Very unprofessional and unappealing). Not only the quality of news reporting on CNN and all networks gone way down but the style of delivering the news has devolved into a litany of “news segments” with cartoony graphics (fade in/fade out etc…), annoying swoosh/tension filled sound effects presented by patronizing News anchors whose blathering seems to be geared towards appealing to the widest possible audience. News should be a very simple reporting of the events of the day. I don’t give a wit about what CNN’s or any other “News” organizations opinion is on the news, Just report it and let the viewer decide. If the average viewer doesn’t comprehend then news then society needs to improve Education NOT dumb down the news. News organizations seem to think that the average viewer is too dumb to be able to effectively interpret the news of the day. I could go on and on…. I too would like to send CNN a complaint as well…. Hello BBC America!

  4. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would think CNN deliberately pulled the audio plug for Rev. Wright’s last ten minutes on the air in California from l0:50 to 11:01 PM. CNN owes all viewers the rest of that speech.

  5. I do wish someone would tell Kiran Chetry that her knees
    are not attractive!!

Has the news become a beauty contest?

  6. Will someone please tell Kiran Chetry her knees are
    not attractive??
