People who do not pay attention to other cars when they open their door can be annoying. I have had this happen on me twice already (when I was not in the car).
They open the door let it swing wide open hit the car next to it and boom, there’s a dent. They utter ‘oops’ and then move on with their daily life to come back another day.
When I park, I now ensure that the car next to me doesn’t have any scratches or dents. What a pain!

I have had my car both dented and keyed. The last time my car was dented it was by a neighbor of mine that actually left me a note saying that he would pay for the damages in which he did. I got several estimates that were very expensive. I then called a place called Dent Doctor. They gave me a free estimate in which I was very pleased with. It was $100.00 compared to the $300 and $400 estimates I had been given. They did an excellent job, the only thing was that I had to use my own touch up paint. You can buy that at the auto store. They can match it up with the serial number on your car. Dent Doctor saves you a lot of money and time. The sad thing is that following Saturday I was visiting a friend of mine who lives out in the country and her son accidently backed into my car totaling the entire door of my car . The cost to repair the door was over $3,000. His insurance covered it.
Sorry to hear that you’ve had troubles. I guess this is what you get with owning a car in a populated neighbourhood. Imagine living in New York with a car where people usually ‘nudge’ your car by a little bit to parallel park (whew!).
