My place of employment insists on buying the cheapest Dell LCD monitors. The IT department decided to buy hundreds of them several years ago. They got the el cheapo 17 and 19 inch Dell LCD monitors and the things go bad like clockwork. And, guess what they replace them with? Yep, the cheapest Dell LCD monitors.
I’m not sure if I’m more annoyed about the false economy of the whole system, or the fact that the Dell monitors they have been buying are such low quality, or that they could have purchased better monitors (that perform better over their lifetimes: better resolution, larger size, all that) that lasted longer.
