The new rage in spam protection for blog comments is to make the comment submitter do some “simple” math before submitting the comment. You might have seen a stupid question being asked of you like “What is 1 + 1?”. If you figure out the equation correctly, you get your comment submitted.
I’m not stupid, but I did get slowed down for a second or two today when I was asked “What is 27 + 16?”.
You’re not serious are you? “27 + 16″? While this is surely still within the realm of “simple” math, you’re pushing it.
