I like Target. I would shop Target over Kmart or Walmart any day.
My biggest complaint about Target is that they don’t sell beer. I don’t know if it’s just my Target or all Target stores but not selling beer makes no sense at all particularly when Target sells wine.
Selling wine while not selling beer seems to me to be a little snooty. I can’t think of any other place that sells only wine except a wine store and even then they pretty much always have a couple of micro-brews.
For the most part, Target has resisted the mega-store combo of grocery/department store smashup giant madhouse of bargain shoppers. That’s one of the reasons I like Target. My Target does have a small bit of grocery items you can pick up just to make things a little easier for you. Milk, some juices and a couple of other frozen things like ice cream are all you will find. Nothing that you would consider grocery shopping, but enough to make it convenient.
My Target store is also being remodeled to increase the size of the grocery selection. I asked an employee tonight if the expanded grocery selection will finally sell beer. She said, “No. No beer, yet.”
“Yet“? Is beer coming to Target at some point? Why is Target holding out? Come on, it’s a no brainer - if you sell wine, sell beer. No big deal, really.

Good complaint.
I was at kohl’s in Yorkville Il and stopped at your new Super Target store and was very impressed with it and want to know if there is any chance that you would be building a store in Morris. I would rather shop at Targets than the Walmart store.

I was at the Kohl’s store in Yorkville Il and and seen the new Super Target and went in to shop at it. I was very impressed with it. I liked it much better than the Walmart store in Morris where I live. I thought most of the prices where a few cents cheaper, except for Cereal and you had a much nicer selection. Please change your mind about Morris and build a Target here soon. When people around Morris heard you were coming there was much excitement about it and very dissappointed when you pulled out.

Target didn’t do a very good job of resisting the Grocery/Department store combo…ever been to Minnesota?
