My Biggest Complaint About AutoZone Not Returning My Money

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I bought a set a disc rotors easy right?
They didn’t fit I returned them the next day in the cartons never taken out. They pulled a bogus deal I.e (stole from me on the Return Transaction. I used a debit card to purchase the rotors. I gave them the exact same debit card we ran it through, but there was some problem. They took me to another register and supposedly the clerk “manually” enterred the debit card numbers and processed the return transaction. I asked for the receipt. He said no paper anymnore; its all done on the computers these days. Your bank account is credited.

Guess what? No credit ever got posted to my account. Waited a full month for the bank statments and to “clear” Then I called the store. First they said they looked into their merchant draft transaction that date and time. They found all the data . But no credit. I called back and asked for the good news that my account slip was found and ran through for credit. “NO” A full month after the transacton they tell me that I got cash back that day and that what is ther “record” shows. I did not receive any cash. So end of story they took over $120 out of my account.

  1. Exactly why I refuse to have a debit card. It is cash or credit. The Bank does not seem to have the same pull the CC company does.

  4. While I have been employed at AutoZone for only a few weeks, I know that credit card purchases that are returned are credited back on the credit card. On-the-other-hand, all debit card purchases that are returned on refunded in cash.
