I purchaced a c4 transmission ,when i ordered it i told them i needed a 11 -1/2 torque convertor , when it came in it had a 10-1/2 convertor ,not a problem says the manager i will get you the right one,when it comes in and i go to pick it up he tells me it will be another $100.00 plus ,i reply the torque convertor is suppose to come with the recon transmission and you sent back the new one that came with the recon transmission,i tell him forget it i will buy one from a transmission shop and do so,3 months go buy and the transmission starts slipping , by the way i know they are rebuilt but this one looked like it just came out of a car and was washed off , i take it back and he gets me another transmission minus the convertor , this one looks clean and rebuilt so i buy another convertor from the transmission shop no offer to pay for the fluid or my extra labor,4 more months go by now this transmission breaks the front drive hub splines ,i call him on a sunday and his reply is i should of bought his convertor,i remind him why i did not buy his convertor,he says he will call me monday and update on what he is going to do, monday comes and goes i tryed calling him i speak to a store clerk he says his manager will get back with me, another day comes i still have not heard from him, i try calling him and speak to a store clerk he tells me he is busy moving into a new store ,i know this is a true fact but how much customer service does it take to make a phone call,i will try again tomorrow calling him in my opinion he should update me i am the customer , he had no problem taking my money when i ordered the transmission and if i do not get a update on replacing this defective product i will call the reg. office 817-244-0789-i have read on the internet to stay away from the rebuild transmissions due to the builders they come from , to late now i will just have to ride this one out to see what happens , i wish i would of took my car to midas and had them rebuild the transmission it would of been a quality rebuild with a warranty parts and labor and cheaper being i will have labor to do again, trips to Auto Zone again and not to mention buying the fluid again plus the pain of getting a warranty replacement again.

was the remanufacture of the transmission “Proformance”?
if it was I’d call them instead of going back to autozone.
I bought rebuilt engine from autozone that was remand by proformance. they come with a 3 year 100k mile warranty…that’s not a typo…yes it’s a 100,000 mile warranty.
